Since when fans are running the boxing business?

From a financial point of view, it all makes sense that Arum wants to match Pacquiao-Marquez IV before a Mayweather bout (in which he will have his PPV numbers to back up his own demands). And JMM is willing to fight again according to latest news...

It sucks to be fans sometimes.

Interesting question. I answered the same question in another thread.

But i will summarize. Arum is taking a calculated risk. He supposes that Pacquiao-Marquez IV can only do better (he is probably right) in PPV numbers which will set a record high for Pacquiao. In term of negociating power, Arum still wins because Pacquiao still remains the PPV main attraction.

But if Pacquiao wins, Arum will be in a very strong position when he negociates the Mayweather bout, provided if he is still alive.

PPV # will drop because there will be to much of a high demand for Mayweather. More then ever now. This fight anit happening, Arum better make the Mayweather fight or its gonna get ugly for him and Pacquiao.

:smoke MARGO HOYA FATTEN ect were all easy fights for PAC . Easier then several fights at lower classes . FLOYDs one disputed win was at lightweight . He makes bigger fighters look stupid . ( of cource I dont think this therory by is absolute . Im talking about lightweight to junior middle )

    :patsch:patsch:patsch

Thats when Mayweather wanted the fight, after Cotto. in his prime and fresh but Pacquiao didnt want to take random drugtesting so the fight didnt happen. and in all honesty it wasnt that, Roach and Arum know his chances are very slim in beating Mayweather so they used that as an excuse. Team Pac been ducking for almost 2 years now and looks like they want to duck again

A clash in Mexico city the cinco de mayo with good promotion can outsell the Pacquiao-Marquez III event. Who do you think will buy the PPVs? Mostly latinos and they can generate numbers (take the Cotto's example). But i believe as time passed by, people will get drawn to this match-up because promoters will keep on advertising the fight. Who would have thought that Pacquiao-Marquez III would do so well in PPV numbers (according to rumours)?

Floyd always wanted the fight-TEAM PAC USED THE DRUG TESTING AS AN EXCUSE NOT TO FIGHT HIM..

NOW THAT THEY AGREED-THEY HAVE FOUND ANOTHER EXCUSE NOT TO FIGHT FLOYD

It would do some good numbers but nothing better then this 3rd fight because people already saw Pacquiao lose Marquez, and some poeple think Pac has lost 2 or even all 3 times already!! and thats alot of people if you ask me, so those numbers will die out.

Plus you already know Arum is not gonna allow Pacquiao to fight in Mexico because Pacquiao has no chance to win a decision there. so dont even worry about that. what we need to worry about is who the hell is Pacquiao gonna fight since hes not gonna fight Mayweather?? Ortiz?? :barf:barf:barf
