i'm struggling with the logic here:
1) mayweather LOVES money > lives for big money fights
2) pacquiao publicly states he'll fight for less than a 50/50 split
3) mayweather (who LOVES money) hears this news, the dollar signs in his eyes light up
4) mayweather pursues fight, manny says he'll do it for 50/50 (contradicting his previous statement)
5) mayweather (who LOVES money and who ALREADY KNOWS manny is willing to fight for less) says 50/50 ain't happening
6) people say mayweather ducked

if i was buying a car off craigslist and i emailed a guy and said "i know you're selling the car for 1500 but i want it so bad i'll pay you 2000 for it" i HIGHLY doubt the guy would accept the deal if i showed up to get the car and said "i'll take it for 1500" especially since i ALREADY said i'd accept a deal that is more favourable to him

 

This is easy. It is ALL negotiable until the contract is signed. People see this as a fight between equals.

Now, lets assume the guys claiming it isn't about the purse split, it is about the whole ball of wax, the promotion split. If Floyd EVER thought he was going to own the whole thing he was out of his freaking mind. Floyd is laying down demands and refusing to negotiate. If he is unwilling to negotiate then HE is the thing standing in the way of this fight happening. We all know this has to be a co-promotion. This ain't craig's list ffs. Ya wanna hold Floyd to every stupid thing that ever came out of his mouth as well?

 

No. FIRST it was specific glove and ring size along with a weight penalty clause. Remember, it was Team Pac who started the stipulation game of tag. Then they begged for a cutoff date in regards to the blood tests which is ridiculous for a man considered to be one of the most mentally tough people on the planet.

You guys love to harp on the vacation don't you? I suspect Arum knew Floyd wasn't going to fight again that year so Bob came out dancing with his dick out like he can do no wrong. I won't be surprised if he does the same later this year after FMJ has fulfilled his May 5 date.

Money didn't even become an issue until now. You have to look at what Team Pac was doing last November after Pac won his last match. They immediately wanted a rematch with Marquez. There is no excuse for that. Then there's the cut used as an excuse which is by far the most outrageous.

Oh. So that's your agenda - to come here and try to get everyone to say, "Hey, we have a Pac fan who knows it all! He cannot be disputed!"

The correct answer is: both teams are to be blamed. I don't even want to take credit for that because anyone with half a brain knows it. Typical Pac fan throws Floyd under a bus for anything and everything they can think of while Manny is thought of as a perfect angel who can never be criticized. I'm embarrassed for you.

 

i must have missed where he said he will not negotiate. he said 50/50 can't happen, but i didn't catch where he said any negotiations are terminated now.
