Pac's plan will probably be to box PBF, give him angles, try to surprise him with his speed, make him pay for backing up into the ropes, and not simply pressure carelessly. Pac also has the stamina to do this for 12.

People didn't fancy Durans chances against Leonard.

I don't like his chances that much, but he's definitely got the potential to upset Floyd, considering the circumstances he's got a big chance.

ive got two game plans i can live with that....

but dont you get tired of when floyd fans are just like

    1- hes floyd mayweather
    2- hes great on defense
    3- he can take pressure
4- hes a great counter puncher

that doesnt mean **** because the matchups & fight styles are what makes the fights

describing someones strengths doesnt help anyone understand how a fight will turn out

You should ask Freddie Roach about that.

wow amazing, a universe apart? maybe to diaz but to oscar? they went of to a close desicion a year in a match where ppl can say that neither side dominated.. I know oscar isnt the same size wise from the time floyd fought him.. but pac had to move two weight classes to face him right after he fought just once at 135lbs..

I think your overrating floyd and underrating pac ..

Would you have said pac would beat oscar if they weight the same??

Its a nice place to start. Even if it doesnt tell everything.
The main difference between the 2 fights was not the weight. It was the fact that PBF did allow Oscar to throw (by giving him time). Pacquiao didn't. ANd he won't allow PBF to think too much.

How would you evaluate a fighter if not by looking at some of his fights?

I would expect someone who doesnt know **** about boxing to look at oscars fight vs floyd then oscars fight vs pacman and be like pacman will chew up floyd because oscar looked worse against pacman... they styles were different, the times were different, the weight was different, the trainers were different... theres to many variables to sit back and expect what happened to oscar could happen to floyd... the fight would be alot different i think we all know that.... it seems to me peple are getting wrapped up in manny's win agaisnt oscar as if its some measure of how oscar would do against floyd

you dont think based on the styles its not good to compare?

we all knew floyd was going to be defense first and just pot shot off defense throughout the whole fight.... manny on the other hand we all knew it would be offense first but how much offesne first was the question.. alot of offense or quick jabs and smart punching... it was quick jabs and smart punching ... will floyd be that stationary against pac? obvoiusly not.. the game plan will be totally different

thats why i dont look at the oscar fight besides manny being comfortable at the weight for any ideas about how a fight with manny and floyd would go...

i feel like if floyd had to fight one more time and everyone had to pick the most likely fighter for floyd to lose

    and the options were

    cotto vs pac

i feel like more people would pick pac
