Or you can also come into consideration that pac just made oscar looks old?

I'm not saying pac will chew up floyd since I myself think that it will be a very hard fought for pac to win against him but he still would stand a big chance.

You still have yet to answer my question.. before all this **** started to happen... did you ever thought that pac would beat oscar on the same weight?

NOBODY, i repeat, NOBODY did say it was gonna be LIKE the fight against Oscar. Its a place to start. Thats it.

Now you think Manny would need another game plan? No. Of course FLoyd won't do like Oscar but that doesnt mean Manny's plan (or i should say, way of boxing because, this is not a plan. This is how he fight). No Manny does'nt have to change how he fights. Mayweather is the one who will have to adapt. And i know he can.

i thought manny was going to get mashed up .... i thought manny was going to be too small but on the other hand i definitely didnt anticipate oscar looking so horendous

im not talking about changing his style of fight but changing points of emphasis.. he would have to instead of focusing on one style of attack or location of attack the emphasis would have to be changed for floyd..

Let's take a look at the real welterweights.

    Kermit Cintron
    Joshua Clottey (Baldomir anyone?)
    Antonio Margarito (Williams anyone?)
    Miguel Cotto (Margarito anyone?)

Yeah, we have a very strong list there that would force anyone seeking greatness to look into. Let's see those "real" welterweights take care of their own available flaws first then we can mention them, apart from that I won't blame him at all for taking the Pacquiao fight and retiring after it.

Yes, I think he will win. Floyd has trouble with southpaws and was dropped by Zab with a right hook. Pacquaio is a better fighter than Zab in every way possible. Throws more combos, has more speed, and is more explosive. He is more busy than Zab too and doesnt mind when he is being pressured so I think Manny will beat Floyd.

Either one of those plus Collazo and Williams and you have multiple choices.Coming back, fighting Pacquiao and then retiring just enhances his position as the cherrypick king of boxing and it doesn't change however many '''' you add on a post.

If Floyd fights Pac then he would also have to fight the recognized champ at 147(whoever it is) after that or it won't look good.

if margarito can put together a good string of 3's major ppv wins he might get his chance to fight floyd late 09 or late 10

to me oscar was so garbage that its hard for me to give pac the credit of making oscar look so old.... im not taking anything away from him because i thought he was p4p#1 before the oscar match and he did a great job of putting his game plan to work ... but oscar was so bad that it actually took away from paq's performance.... i feel like any b+ level fighter around light welter & welter would have took out oscar that night

yeah if oscar actually comes back and looks decent I will have an easier time giving manny props but im sorry yall

    oscar looked

    -clueless
    -uncomfortable
    -weight drained
    -dehydrated
    -uninterested

and any other excuse you can think of... and this is all before the bell even sounded for the first round to start... it was the worse showing i have ever seen from a championship level fighter by far

Floyd fought Oscar at junior middleweight which Oscar didn't lose any weight or weight drain himself to get to 147.He came in as a middleweight a weight Oscar should be fighting at his age not a weight he hasn't been at in years. Losing that much weight especially at this age, body size, and height I think is bad.But Oscar did it for the sport and honestly for the money. If anything Manny moving up benefit him more then Oscar losing it.
