1500 calories a day would be plenty for Floyd to maintain his weight if he unless he doing thousands of push-up a day.

And he probably taking in a lot more than 1500 cals a day.

Your body finds it natural weight, so unless Floyd natural weight is quite a bit under 150lbs, he not going to lose all that weight.

And if it is that far under that weight, then he is doing something unnatural to keep it that high.
