I know that, it was a 140 bout but Mayweather already broke Hatton up before then.

Hatton looked like a ghost too (way overtrained). There were just so many catchweight bouts that the Hatton one is just an outlier. No point pointing that out.

    130: Genaro, Corrales
    135: Castillo X2
    147: Baldomir, Mosley
    154: Cotto

At 4 of his 5 weight classes, he holds completely legit claim as having beaten the then best fighter in the division.

To anyone who thinks there were ever any PRIME ATG's in his weight class while he was there, please go ahead and list them.

Corrales was elite, undefeated, and prime.
Castillo was an elite lineal champion in his prime.
Baldomir was a lineal champion in his prime, although not elite.
Hatton was undefeated and in his prime, although not at his elite weight.
Cotto was an elite fighter, although not at his prime.

Name the prime ATG's that were at his weight who he should have fought. Please, go on... Enlighten us.

A prime fighter who would go on to become ATG.

How is this hard to understand?

I'd say the best opportunity other than Pacman would have been Mosley after he had beaten Hatton. But he retired and Mosley vs Cotto happened.

I do think he gets a tad too much stick but if he had fought Pacquiao in 09/10 only a fool could discredit him.
