I want to see this fight..... I believe now that it would be a little closer than I thought, I would still pick Mayweather to win convincingly, but think the fight is a very interesting and possible match-up which would be very entertaining given the styles of each fighter.

The Current P4P against the Past P4P that vacated his status by an early retirement..... Makes for a lot of marketing ability also.

Pacman: I will try to win this fight for my country...
    (PBF Interrupts)
    PBF: Man **** yo country
(Buboy assaults Mayweather and theres a brawl at the press conference)

Im undecided I prefer Pacman/Hitman, but team Pacquiao always seem to know what they;re doing, so I will not second guess them.

There's speculation, and there's purely blind speculation, and that's what I would call this. ^

Depending on where the fight is actually to clear it up a little bit.

If it's in the UK then Hatton is the bigger money fight.

If it's in the U.S then you have the P4P #1 in Floyd Mayweather (who now has WWE fan appeal due to his lil act with the Big Show) with his fanbase (and he's got a big one) taking on Manny Pac and all his fans on some ridiculously overpriced PPV.

Even in this fiscal market..the two #1 P4P facing off would easily top 1,00,000.

BTW, Arriba, the odds are just the odds, but it is pretty much a given that Pacquiao would be the betting favorite over Hatton, and Mayweather would be the betting favorite over Pacquiao - I'm curious who you think would win these fights?

I believe Hatton has said he wants nothing to do with the welterweight divsion so that would leave a welter clash with Floyd out of the question.

Pac can lose to Mayweather and I guarantee you the Pac - Hatton fight would still be big because we would all feel Pac took it too far and 140 would suit him much better. Thus, the Pac - Hatton fight would be for 140 supremacy.

Pac should jump on Mayweather now since he's been out for a minute or two.

It'd be pretty interesting to see Hatton-Pac. Has Manny ever faced a fighter who would pressure him and take him out of his game with clinches, body punching and an over abundance of rough housing? I can't think of anyone outside of perhaps MAB really. I'd favor Manny but Hatton is a very live dog.

I'd favor Pac over Floyd when you consider the layoff. Manny is also powerful enough to rough Floyd up especially when Floyd occasionally shells up. Clean effective aggression coupled with the punch output would probably lead Manny to a victory. Betting against Floyd though is always risky bidness.

Have we heard anything other than the UK being a potential site for Hatton/Pacquiao?

Well if you're going to assume that what you say is more merited than what anyone else says yer gonna get that sort of ****. The idea that your speculation is heads and tails above someone elses is stupid.

Which IMO means Floyd/Pac would make more money.

I wonder if Hatton/Pac would be the first PPV to have more buys internationally than in the U.S?

It could do 900,00 in the UK and 400,00 in the U.S

I'd favor him over both...although it's not like a blow away decision.

I'd say it's 55/45-ish sort of stuff. Hatton-Pac would be a lot closer than people seem to be discussing it to be.

Also for the record, I'd much rather see him give us the big trilogy we've been asking for.

I can see where you're coming from, but the thing I see is, Hatton doesn't have many "big fight" opportunities unless he moves to 147, which I don't think he'll do (he can't beat any of the top guys IMO). So even if Mayweather beat Pacquiao, we know Pac will still be a huge draw given his following, and every boxing fan knows it will be an exciting matchup. So IMO, Hatton will still want Pac even if Floyd beats him. On the contrary, there is no way Floyd would come out of retirement to fight Pac after a defeat to someone he KO'd.

Of course, I would pick Pac to beat Hatton, so that wouldn't matter in that case.
