Yes they were! You can go back and check here on ESB for that and also on other websites. Martinez/Chavez Jr became a 50/50 when Chavez Jr dispatched of Lee (whom was suppose to be the "hardest" fight for Jr at that point) quite easily.

Before the Rubio and Lee fights, a Martinez/Chavez Jr was tought to be a trasvesty but not as the actual fight got closer.

I would love to see Mayweather step up in fight where he is an underdog. But that is not his style, he looks at an opponent and picks them because he feels safe. He never says, this guy I am not sure I could beat and that is why I want to fight him and challenge myself.

Who is Floyd scared of? *******s just assume he was scare of Margo bc Margo came up to Floyd and asked for a fight as well as Arum. However people need to realize that at the time Oscar was looking for an opponent and Floyd wanted Oscar. Arum was not going to let Floyd fight Oscar period. Floyd had to break the contract so he could be in line for Oscar. Ducked? yes but could anyone really blame Floyd for fighting Oscar who is way tougher fight for Floyd instead of an unknown Margo with little following.

Now Pac. If anything it seem to me that Pac was the one that blew the fight. Pac should never decline a drug test. Fight fell apart and when they tried again, Floyd feels he deserves more than 50/50. Which also makes sense. Floyd is a bigger star therefore like every big star they get more money. It is how it is. People can assume otherwise but if he makes sense then agree to it.

As for Martinez. The fight is optional for Floyd to take. He doesn't have to take it if he doesn't want to bc Martinez is a MW while Floyd max weight is WW. Floyd is not that effective at JMW so why would take a fight where he gives up his advantages as a fighter?

Because that's what real fighters do.... They love to fight & test themselves
See de la Hoya vs Hopkins
See Marquez vs Floyd....went up 2 weight divisions & got cheated on scales... "Nah max, he a great little man!" Lmao! That made me feel better about blowing the money on the ppv after that classic hilarious line! :rofl:patsch

Mayweather needs to fight either Canelo, Pacquiao, or Martinez as his next opponents, anything short of that is just stupid.

Mayweather vs Canelo would be a competitive fight, Canelo would push Mayweather with his strength in the middle rounds but ultimately would come up short.

Mayweather vs Pacquiao would be one-sided, Pacquiao is too wild to beat a perfect boxer like Mayweather and at this point in his career isn't as explosive as he used to be, but everyone has been wanting to see this fight for years so why not...

Mayweather vs Martinez on the otherhand would be a life-and-death situation for both. Mayweather will probably come out on top but he needs to fight the fight of his life to win, which I still believe he will.

If he fights all three of these guys or even one or two of these guys and wins convincingly, then I will give him all the credit in the world. Otherwise, Floyd Mayweather although a great boxer, will be a disappointment. :bart
