I gotta point out the overreaching generalization you've used in this and your original post. There are plenty of boxing trainers, historians, reporters, and others who have had negative things to say about Floyd... You just aren't looking hard enough broseph.

 

The same goes for Pacquiao, Ali, Duran, etc. Floyd is no exception and this thread does nothing but contribute to the level of butthurt that the rabid Mayweather and Pacquiao fans display on a daily basis.

I more than anyone would love to see people stop bringing down other fights and being irrationally defensive or derisive towards a fighter, it brings down the sport. But whining about your own favorite when he gets plenty of respect and admiration by a good number of posters with a thread dedicated to the subject, you're just adding to the drama.

 

The only thing fans ***** about that might have any merit is that, at the higher weights of his spectrum, Mayweather isn't active enough and has missed some important fighters. Bitching about the bitching of the others just lends weight to their argument.

The thing is with experts, historians & trainers is it only takes one or two of them to say something and everybody else thinks they must be right but what people dont understand is that between all the experts there will still be different opinions just like there is between us. There was a Price vs Fury poll taken by experts, trainers, historians, other fighters, ex champs etc. and it was very close with all kinds of different opinions. Everyone has different opinions wether they are experts or not only difference is the experts generally have good reasons to back it up where as somebody with little knowledge has nothing to back it up.
