On the other hand, Baldomir was the lineal champion at 147 with wins over Zab/Gatti (Zab was also a top dog at the time)

Answer me this. Who else was as good as Baldomir?

And no he wasn't. Margarito never topped Baldomir at the time. Stop making up facts. Show me a link where any credible list showed Margo was better than Baldomir at that point in time.

I'm not arguing that Baldo is a better FIGHTER than Margarito. But the fact that Floyd fought the higher ranked, more accomplished fighter is why I have to give him credit. He took on the "bigger" challenge at the time. Not his fault the fight was a stinker. Floyd's style is just Baldo's nightmare.

He fought superfights in Hatton/Oscar. Fights that anybody in the boxing world would have taken.

Oscar was by far his toughest challenge (Way tougher than Margarito and Cotto at the time) and with a much bigger payday. And don't forget that this was the time Margo and Cotto were making a name for themselves. Fact

Don't use Margarito/Cotto 2006-2007 facts, it really is a joke

You can make a claim for Floyd ducking Cotto in early 2008 though, but Floyd had retired by that time already because of body issues/family.

 

I don't have to convince the you that he ducked Margarito I know it and like I said 99% of others know as well.

I already said before. Baldomir is NOT a better fighter overall than Margarito. But blame Margarito for not being able to string good wins together, losing to Santos and to top it off, have his best win being Cintron

Baldomir was the legitimate 147 unified king and had wins over Zab (Also another top dog) and was ranked much higher than Margarito.

You really need some REAL facts instead of 99% of the people think Floyd ducked Margarito (Which isn't true btw because a lot of people I talk to (Guys who know boxing) agrees with me and says the same thing)

Baldomir was indeed the bigger threat at THE TIME, and was a legitimate champion, more proven and more accomplished.

It's not Floyd's fault that his style is such a nightmare for Baldomir's and made it a snooze fest.

Anyways, Ghost is a great fight. Enjoy it. It's better and more action packed than Bradley/JMM/Alexander. Fact.

 

Other then beating Zab he hasn't done anything Margo was considered the better opponent of the two and destroyed the killer in the division at the time in kermit end of story do a poll

 

Had more meaning... considering Margarito turned down the chance to star on a PPV against Floyd earlier in the year.

 

And Floyd is far from an unbeatable god.

There's no reason to do a poll on ESB or any other boxing forum, there's so many Floyd haters here it's ridiculous.

Many boxing experts/Ring analysts say the same thing whom I've spoken to about this topic say the same thing, Baldo was the better fight and the guy Floyd should have fought at that time.

Even though it may seem like Margarito would have been the more challenging fight for Floyd, there was no ducking because Floyd went for the more dangerous guy at that time.

People don't know all the facts, and making a poll does NOTHING because of it.
