I don't like how people are saying because alvarez wants a guarantee that mayeweather will fight him than that means he is looking for a way out of the Trout fight. No,this means mayweather is scared of alvarez!!No way mayweather steps into the ring with a bigger man. This is the guy who was scared to fight paul williams, antonio margarito, and miguel cotto in his prime. This latest news makes it officlal that alvarez will likely be added to the ever-growing list of boxers who mayweather should be fighting but will probably never fight.

Canelo is no position to make those claims. An easier claim can be made that he is ducking Trout.

Why in the world are you gonna guarantee a fight against someone who might potentially be coming off of a telling loss and lose their star power? Especially when you have a fight already lined up? It's just not the way things usually work in boxing, much less when it's a young pup making demands from the biggest Pay-Per-View attraction in the US.

Canelo should worry about beating Trout before thinking about Mayweather, or fall victim to the same mistake many champions have made before him: Losing due to not focusing on their current opponent.

Poor Canelo.. He fought all those 147lbers so he could get a fight for Floyd's 147lb title and Robert is taking it! :|:|

Canelo can't dictate terms to PBF. If he's so good as his fans say he is he should do the right things fight Trout beat him and then get in line for a PBF fight. Too bad he doesn't share your confidence though because if he did he would have signed to fight Trout by now. Canelo is trying to secure a guaranteed cash out without ever doing a damn thing to deserve one, the very definition of a ***** move. Fans should be outraged at this type of behavior. I wonder how people would react if Broner said I'm only fighting Rios if Pac guarantees me a fight next. My guess would be they would be outraged.

Mayweather can fight Alvarez anytime he wants. Why exactly would he care about Canelo's little threats?
