There's too many glaring holes that won't be forgotten. He managed to avoid almost every legitimate threat at the peak of his career. You just can't get around that.

His whole legacy is riding on an 0 that has very little substance over the past 6 years or so. He's fought once a year and cherry picked the entire way. If he's 'closing the gap' he's doing it just by staying undefeated, but in reality there's little substance to it. If he loses, all of that will be shattered.

He missed Cotto, Pac, Mosley (years earlier), Margarito. There are even good names at the lower weights you could name.

Yeah you cant fight everyone when your fighting once a year, taking endless vacations, and take the easy road almost every time out.

Your comparison to Ray Robinson is laughable. :patsch

He's beaten the top guy in every division he's been in at one time or another apart from JWW however he did beat him at WW.

Who are these legitimate threats that he has avoided? Pacquiao is every bit as much to blame for that fight not happening as Mayweather. Who else?

In the past 6 years he's...

*Stepped up to 154 and beat the #1 ranked JMW in the richest fight in history
*Dropped back down and became the first man to beat 2 weight champion and P4P#8 in Hatton
*Completely schooled the P4P#2 12-0 before that same opponent went on to knock out Pacquiao in that division
*Dominated the P4P#3 who people claimed he was scared of
*Moved back up to 154 for a second time to beat the #1 ranked JMW

Good response :!: What you think some list on a boxing forum proves anything? Your own poll has Pacquiao ahead still.

Facts are facts and you can't debate anything on substance because you know you cant win that argument. You just compared Floyd to Ray Robinson for god sakes. Your in loony land.

Floyd is better and always has been anyone who has been following boxing pre 2008.12.06 knows that.

But the fact is these *******s were probably still being bottle fed before that. :good

*Stepped up to 154 and beat the #1 ranked JMW in the richest fight in history - #1 JMW among who exactly? He beat a faded Oscar, who would get retired by Pacquiao the next year.

*Dropped back down and became the first man to beat 2 weight champion and P4P#8 in Hatton - He beat Hatton at 147 (not his best weight) where he looked less then specataculer and arguably lost to Collazo. Meanwhile, an undefeated Cotto, Margarito, and Mosley were all active in the division at the time.

*Completely schooled the P4P#2 12-0 before that same opponent went on to knock out Pacquiao in that division - He was an active WW dragging up the lightweight champion instead of fighting the WW champion at the time. Not only that he didn't adhere to the agreed catchweight. That was a ridiciulous fight.

*Dominated the P4P#3 who people claimed he was scared of - If your talking about Mosley, that was his most legitimate win at the weight, but it still came way too late. It should have happened at least a year earlier when Floyd opted to fight a lightweight instead

*Moved back up to 154 for a second time to beat the #1 ranked JMW - Again, #1 JMW among who exactly? Cotto beating a shot Mayorga, Margarito, and Yuri Foreman made him the #1? I guess that says a lot about the state of that division

You can throw a lot of numbers but as I said there's little substance, particurally over the past 6 years or so. His WW run has been a sham.

You can dismantle any resume like that though if you've got the agenda to do it, the fact is he did beat the best in the JMW division twice, he did beat P4P rated guys and he did beat a 2 weight undefeated champion.

In 10 years when he's talked about people will remember what he did do rather than what he didn't do, which is why history will be kind to him.

How can pac have any kind of legacy by getting KTFO6 by an old man past his prime and two bums? Floyd already showed JMM is past his prime.
