I don't get it. Floyd has fought twice at 154 and neither time did he ask for a catchweight. Why would he ask for one now? Floyd is thicker now than when he fought DLH without a catchweight years back, and at the time DLH was larger than Canelo is now.

It's gotta be a negotiation ploy. Floyd has nothing to fear from Canelo.

Don't take it seriously people. It's a bunch of bull****. It's either one of two things:

1) Golden Boy wants to push the date back since Alvarez isn't particularly ready to fight Mayweather yet.

2) Mayweather's team always pushes outrageous demands at first because they know how to negotiate properly.

Either way, I fully expect a Mayweather vs Alvarez fight at 154 fight before these 6 fights are over.

Well...maybe he feels he can't go up to 154 anymore. He is 36. Not 25...Heck he was 146 for his last fight at the weigh in...He knows his body better than any of us do.
