That would be the Ideal but it would be way to expensive. It has to be done on a fight by fight or fighter by fighter basis. perhaps a sanctioning body could implement it for its top ten or something.

there is nothing wrong with putting something like this in a contract for any fight. A contract is only an agreement between two parties . . . in that agreement anything can be requested it is up to the other party to agree to it or not. If all the top fighters/champs insist on drug testing it will only be better for the sport

Now you're just pulling things out of your arse.

Stop ASSuming and please explain how u reached this conclusion. Both of their statements address Pac's 24 day cut off and unlimited urine proposal. The post fight blood test portion was stated at the same time as those 2 as part of Pac's proposal.

This is some shameful isht on your part, mayne. Defending Pac is one thing, but making up isht to discrediting experts is ridiculous.

Come on, man. Be bigger than that.

Damn Olympics should stop testing 3 weeks out from boxing events, I mean there's nothing that can be taken and give you much of an improvement within that time frame.. Yeah, try to convince everyone of that and see how you get laughed at.

    What are you talking about?

Both of their theory's were hypothetical scenarios based on 24 days.

How could Manny have cheated with a 14 day cut off, with a blood test after the fight?

I'll read it again. If I've got it wrong, then apologies.

Where do they refer to a hypothetical scenario where Manny gets blood tested after?

I'm not talking to anyone specifically.. I'm just putting in my two cents on the whole subject and the thought process people tend to use..

If it's good enough for the Olympics, let's dummy it down for boxing!! Why would we want to negotiate the testing as close as possible to Olympic style for boxing, when we could make our own cutoffs? I mean, nothing these fighters can take to boost their performance in that time frame.. Whole Olympics should change their boxing testing. :rofl

And people actually try to argue and find reasons to claim the above is the smartest thing and should be agreed to by all... :nut

    Sweet Jones,

    I've just read it again.

Manny would have needed 24 clear days to cheat according to their theories.

But even if Floyd had granted a 24 day cut off, Manny still wouldn't have had 24 CLEAR days.

The reason being, an after fight blood test would have revealed he'd been doping.

If Manny agreed to have a blood test done after the fight, that means that he couldn't have risked taking ANYTHING in the final week, as it would have shown up.

So even if he'd have had 24 days, he would only have been free to do what he liked for less than 20 of those days.

So even hypothetically speaking, he couldn't have doped with a 24 day cut off.

For him to have had a clear 24 days, he would have needed a 30 day + cut off period.

If he'd have a 14 day cut off period, again he couldn't have taken anything in the last week, with a blood test after the fight.

A 14 day cut off would have given him less than 10 free days.

It wouldn't have benefited him at all, and it simply wouldn't have been worth the risk.

Again, the two theories are based on 24 day cut offs, but WITHOUT a reference to Manny having an after fight blood test.

Floyd should have given Manny a 24 day, or a 14 day cut off.

As long as he had it in writing that Manny had to be blood tested after the fight, there shouldn't have been an issue at all.

We need random blood and urine tests all year round. But like Jasper says, it would be expensive, and there's hundreds of fighters. But something has to be done.

I agree we need those tests year round.. But until then, we shouldn't settle for less than getting them as close as possible to that. Requiring your opponent to agree to those tests from the signing of contract until fight night is the closest thing that can be negotiated on a per fight basis... Floyd tried to do this.

It's just funny watching people make excuses and reasons Floyd should have agreed to a cutoff.. We all agree testing should be Olympic style or as close as possible to better the sport.. But when Floyd tried to do this he should have just accepted whatever the other party offered, because he hurt their feelings. :rofl **** is ****ing hilarious.

Olympics should just stop testing 2 weeks out, because an after the fight blood test would catch anything.. :patsch Point is to stop the other fighter from cheating, not catch them after the fight. Testing before the fight is supposed to be a deterrent.

I've no problem with what Floyd and his team are now doing. But with Manny, he went about it in the wrong manner.

Floyd had no reason not to agree the cut off. He could have compromised.

If you read Sweet Jones's links, Manny could only have hypothetically juiced with a clear 24 day window.

But a 24 day cut off, wouldn't have given him 24 clear days, because he wouldn't have been able to take anything in the last week, due to the blood test afterwards.

So Floyd could have agreed a 24 day or a 14 day cut off period, and that would have been sufficient.

He would have been randomly tested within the first 6 or 7 weeks, and then after the fight.

Now if Manny agreed to the initial OSDT, then why wouldn't/couldn't Floyd agree on the cut off days?

I agree that testing BEFORE the fight should be the deterrent, but again, Manny couldn't have cheated in a 14 day cut off according to Victor Conte and Dr. Catlin.

The fight should have been made. Floyd didn't need Manny to be randomly tested all the way up to the fight. He could and should have compromised.
