    3. Apparently Mayweather is using also. Crazy ****. Trout is the only man to beat Cotto fair and square.

I would say size is a big indicator on why he fought Cotto at Jr. Middle and wont fight Canelo for example or any other top contenders at that weight. It was still a great fight.

I wouldn't say he was shot but he was never the same fighter after the Pac beating. Let's be honest he was never a 154lb fighter and was only fighting there as Toprank had an easy title for him to win there and they matched him very carefully with past it fighters like Mayorga and Margarito.

I think Floyd totally cherry picked him and maybe even carried him a little bit in that fight to make it look closer then it needed to be.

    This. Rough shell, soft interior.

Slick black chocolate on the outside, with caramel filling inside.

Cotto's still unbeaten in my eyes. He never lost at 140

His recent actions certainly infer this likely reason.

Cotto was shot enough to fight him at his healthy weight. Canelo isn't shot so he doesn't get the same treatment.

Cotto and Floyd are both a bit small for 154. Yes, Floyd sat on the sidelines while welterweight was super hot and let Cotto take losses to Margo and Pac before finally taking him on, but Cotto was with Top Rank up until last year.

As much as I love to point out Floyd's cherry picks (JMM, Hatton, etc) this one was pretty legitimate. A past prime, non-weight drained Cotto was the best non-Pacquiao opponent available.

Floyd happily fought Cotto at 154 because:
    • Cotto was past prime
    • Cotto wasn't a fully-fledged 154 pounder.

maybe, you could also factor in that at the time he fought Cotto the only real legitimate guys he cold fight were pac and Cotto in 44 fight the only 2 times he's fought at 154 was simply because they were the best available right now that is not exactly the case. Personally I'll reserve my opinion on the 147/154 matter when all the dust settles but in this case for as hyped as Alvarez is he isn't even the best fighter Mayweather could fight right now he's just the biggest. Hell I find Alvarez fights entertaining but guys who get discredited like Alexander,Kahn,Garcia ect.. all have better resumes and have faced a higher level of competition than Alvarez AND I'M FIRMLY AGAINST A MAYWEATHER-KAHN fight but a spade is a spade

All of Floyd's opponents are cherry picked to some degree. I'm just not going to hammer him over choosing Cotto. There really wasn't a better, make-able fight out there.

To be fair, I am a huge Cotto fan, so I might be rating him a bit higher than others.
