Correction... better pure boxer, put them in a street fight and Floydie wouldn't last 5 minutes.

Because of Pacquiao's fighting style and the fact that he's a southpaw. If this fight happened in 2010, like it was supposed to, it would have been 50/50. Pacquiao provides the style to trouble Mayweather's style, he's overly aggressive, blinding fast, has serious power in both hands, great leg movement, can counter when necessary, can fight on the move and is very active. This type of style would give Mayweather hell and adding to that that he's a southpaw immediately makes it a tough fight for Mayweather. If Cotto's aggression, which is usually timed and not often to conserve energy troubled Mayweather then Pacquiao can do far better. Hatton also had his moments here and there due to his aggression which isn't threatening enough when compared to Pacquiao's aggression.

Sadly, no one will know what could have happened because 2010 is no more and the fight happening now won't bring a similar result to what I'm expecting. Pacquiao suffered a devastating KO and Mayweather isn't getting any younger either.

lol...so simple. So what does JMM do better than Cotto or Bradley?

The simple fact that JMM style is completely different from Floyds. JMM counters in combinations and isn't afraid to get in line of fire, he will fight fire with fire if need be so its similar style to what Morales did in the 1st fight. Floyd fights completely differently to that. Compare 2 counter punchers in JMM and Floyd is like comparing George Foreman and Frazier.

Styles makes fights, there's a reason why Floyd wasn't all too keen on this fight, its simple logic. And yes, Pac wasn't keen on this fight either, I'm sure if he was getting paid 40mil to fight Ricky Hatton in a rematch, he would take blood tests in between rounds.

Both fighters saw each other as dangerous, comes back to risk vs reward, and anyone who posses a little bit of common sense can see Floyd didn't like the risk/reward ratio in a Pac fight. Why have a 10% chance of losing for 60mil+ if he could have a 0% chance of losing for 30mil?

Unless Pac is shot, stylistically, he is the toughest fight out there for Floyd. And Floyd knows this.

Poor post. Canelo is weight drained. Canelo is a limited and slow fighter. Hence Floyd picked to fight him.

Floyd is bigger...stronger...faster...and smarter than JMM......plus he has stellar defense.

Pac rejected a 5050 split and a 14 day cutoff because he was told he didn't need Mayweather....now he's kicking himself.

Gotta disagree man. Vegas only had 6.2 billion in gaming revenue last year, Macau had 38 billion. Now there is a reason for that. We can gamble in 48 states in the US, while the Chinese can only gamble in Macau, but there is much more money flowing into Macau than there is flowing into Vegas these days.

Fact: Arum said Pacquiao was afraid of needles.
Lojical conclusion: Either Pac is afraid of needles (unless he's getting a tattoo) or Arum hid Pac from Mayweather. Simple. /thread

I don't know about all that.

When comparing the two it is really quite simple. While Manny is a tremendous physical talent who upped his skills, Floyd is a tremendous physical talent who was groomed properly.

Floyd was a top tier amateur who progressed from a young age by learning the different facets of the fight game. He doesn't get outside of himself, whether he is doing well or in a tough fight, and always maintains control. The same cannot be said for Pacquiao, and that is why Floyd is the better fighter.
