This past Sunday on GMANews.TV, Manny Pacquiao said he knows exactly what Miguel Cotto is going through trying to get down to weight the week before the fight. Pacquiao went as far as to say that having been in a similar situation himself, the weight reduction is going to play a crucial role in the outcome of the fight.

I don't think Pacquiao's tone was mocking neither

And your point is? That Floyd is doing what Pacquiao has been doing since 1996? I'm not getting it. I can see the video and hear what he's saying is hypocritical. And you're right, Floyd doesn't deserve Canelo's title. I said that a LONG time ago. But of course if you take away Pac's catchweight titles where does that leave his 8-division titles?

A truly great fighter wouldn't pass on the biggest fight in the history of boxing for pitiful excuses like "Take my tests and prove me wrong, cheater!", "Take $40 million and keep all the rest to me, including 100% of the PPV sales", "Leave your promoter", "Join my promotion", "Beat the guys that recently beat you"...etc

While I'm a fan of both Pacquiao and Mayweather, and will forever be, there's no way in hell anyone can back Mayweather when it comes to Pacquiao.

What the f**k do all of these quotes prove??

    Why have you posted them??

I happen to agree with a lot of what's been written.

But it doesn't alter the fact that Floyd has never wanted to fight Manny.

You can post a 1000 quotes up of people praising Floyd's abilities.

But it won't change the following:

When Floyd negotiated through the media, with regards to a potential fight with Manny, before any official negotiations, he had no issue with any testing. The only thing of concern to him was the percentage split.

He only demanded testing after his big mouth Daddy opened his mouth, and there was never any kind of proof.

When Manny was big enough to back down and change his stance, and to agree to Floyd's cut off days, Floyd wouldn't back down and wanted a vacation.

When Manny and the whole world wanted the fight, Floyd made a bull**** offer, and wanted the entire PPV revenue from a fight that had realistic expectations of grossing between $200-$300m.

When Manny finally gave in to everything, in 2012, Floyd still wasn't happy and it still wasn't enough to make the fight.

You can list any quote you want, praising Floyd's unique abilities.

But it'll never change how he's behaved in the last five years.

In response to stupid quotes by Smith, Bayless, 50 cent, Irvin, you know the ******* list which you don't object to. Surely you've seen it, but only object to my list .. I felt it more relevant to quote unbiased champions who've actually fought in the ring and what their thoughts were. And some on that list have even called Floyd a coward for not making the fight but yet recognize him as the best today---Tyson, Hagler. It's a list meant to be scrutinized for inaccuracies. Let's get what real fighters and experts think out in the open. I'll gladly remove any quote which is erroneous. The Miguel Cotto one for example in that list was an error and has since been corrected.

NEVER, are you certain? History says otherwise.

I'm objecting to your quotes, not because of what's being said, but because you're constantly re posting them, and again, it doesn't change Floyd's behaviour.

I'm certain that had they fought, Floyd would have won.

But I know that he's never wanted the fight.

You edited your response and I'll respond accordingly

Regardless of the Mayweather's dysfunction, Sr is still Floyd's father and influences him. So yes planting a thought about drugs probably played a part in it. Frankly, I don't see a problem with asking for tests, cheating is rampant in ALL sports and Floyd is subject to the same tests. I've been subject to random tests in the Navy and later when I worked for the Govt. It's a benign request from my perspective.

You don't think asking for a cutoff is fishy? People who are experts in PEDs administer the test, and in other sports, do so up to the day of the event and require any combination of blood and urine. I find it laughable that forum clowns try to argue they know more than USADA or VADA or try to discredit one or the other.

What is lost is Pacquiao sued Floyd. Bert Sugar even said that lawsuit if Manny wins changes everything. And Manny apparently did since Floyd had to settle. I won't argue Pac deserved more than Floyd was offering. I thought 55/45 for purse and PPV was fair. Maybe Floyd was trying to save face. It's consistent with his ego.

Floyd is brash but I don't think he's behaved any worse than Pacquiao. Look, I play the silly *******-***** game but I have never felt a personal connection with Floyd and I just don't understand why the saint tag is attached to a boxer. I see the same qualities in both. The gambling, the insecurities by having a big posse, the IRS problems ...

Boyschoir, kiwi-something kept posting their quotes. I made an error in the list and had to post it three or more times in succession to admit I was wrong with the Cotto quote in response to being called an an idiot, a moron, a *****, the usual .. I deserved it for not checking that one quote. They had fun at my expense. So be it. The quickest way to shut people up is to admit you're wrong. Most people let it go after that, others will do what they do, ignore that everyone makes mistakes.

They can, they just don't have good reasons. Mayweather has basically admitted to being a coward.
