Anyone on here would want due compensation to take a fight that could seriously hurt them. If you were a multi-millionaire already it would be natural not to opt for a very dangerous fight whether or not you can win it. That's natural human nature.

Boxing is very different to those other sports due to the danger within it. It's also very different due to the fact of its politics. Fighters from different promoters can not easily fight each other. People criticise modern fighters for not fighting but Mayweather had to leave Arum to face Delahoya, Cotto had to leave Arum to face Mayweather, Jones had to fight none Don King fighters to avoid getting a slave contact.

The ones who look to only fight the best often do so because they can't make good money while picking and choosing their opponents.

Both Timmeh and Maidana have improved greatly as fighters they fighting at 147 with more confidence now. Khan or Alexander don't stand a chance vs Maidana in a rematch I hope a rematch with either happens soon to clear things up.
