You could see in the Canelo promotion that it got to Floyd how loved Canelo was, of course floyd won and all but i remember him saying after the Hatton fight "i wish i had a fanbase half as loyal as his" I really think it gets to Mayweather that everybody hates him, he may make more than Manny now but deep down he wishes he was liked, Pacquaio will always be loved all over the world, he can loose and people will still watch him, the entire Mayweather brand and popularity is based purely on his 0, thats why he picks easy fights because he knows if his 0 goes his ppv sales and income plummet. People watch him to see him get beat, People watch Manny because they love him. From watching Floyd i really think he has issues within himself, if you think about it Floyd has very few who actually love him, he clearly has some serious issues just look at himself and floyd sr i really belive at heart Floyd is a very unhappy person hence over the top money persona.

Right no one is on his level . . . back in 2009 Pac was there but he walked away from a 50-50 deal and his stock has tumbled since. So does Pac deserve a bigger slice of the pie than others . . . yes, but how much more is debatable. It is no longer a 50-50 fight and May-Pac may not do much better than May-Saul.

As for his intelligence, in ring it is off the charts and in Marketing/business it is the same. Anyone who believes otherwise is fooling himself.

When they ask Floyd about a fight with PAC he always tell this story to them.

Well I'm a smart man, you look at Ali and how he is today. If Ali can trade all his money back for his health he would do it in a heartbeat. My health come first, I want to be able to spend the rest of my life with my family a healthy man.

If it is, the main problem with that is when people look back on his career and ask why he didn't fight Pac the answer isn't going to matter, it'll just be a huge hole in his legacy. Smart guy that Floyd is, assuming he doesn't care about his historical standing in the boxing community.
