Dude this is like the one thousandth thread I've seen claiming "Mayweather is not in the top ___ P4P all time list."

You have not made an original statement or opinion that makes you be able to say you "exposed" or "educated" anything.

If you're not an alt and you stick around for a couple years, actually becoming a fan who knows an amount worth respecting, you will be ashamed that this thread is in your posting history.

Floyd does this every fight, they wait till the last min to announce who he's fighting. They tease with a few names, say I'm going to announce on x date then never do. It must be a way to build artificial hype and interest for the fight. Have us talking about who's next.

They kinda do this with Pacquiao, but not to the extreme mayweather does. What Pacquiao does is stay quiet on who he's fighting, then once his opponent is named, he goes on the lets call mayweather out for a fight to promote himself.

    This.

And I don't know about Pacquiao. The third Marquez fight was signed BEFORE Pacquiao even got in the ring with Mosley... The Clottey fight was signed less than 72 hours after the first negotiations with Mayweather ended with additional drug testing as the reason for that...

That was during the MGM arrivals for the Cotto fight.

Pacquiao lost to Bradley just over a month later.

Ture indeed, they've used each other's names to promote their fights.

Yeah, Pacquiao doesn't tease who he's fighting. But they stay quiet mostly until they're ready to announce the fight. But once the fight is announced he goes on the call mayweather out tour. Almost disrespect to his opponent in front of him. With Clottey he was literally sitting on his couch in a busted apartment and broke. He wasn't going to say no to the PAC payday by holding negotiations up.

no one is denying his skill...it's accomplishment that he lacks.

what has floyd done that hasn't been done before? who has he beat that no one thought he would beat? when was he not the favorite?

great fighters defy the odds and accomplish the impossible. help me understand...what did he do different than all the greats before him???

So just because Joe Louis was the favorite in every fight he won means that he doesn't get credit for them?

    Cool story and sound logic...
