FLoyd isn't "afraid" of any boxer. You don't have 45 professional fights with about half of them being title fights if you have "fear" in your heart.

Some of the adjectives thrown around here are hyperbolic. From what he's said in the past, he doesn't appreciate Manny initially trying to "bend" negotiations as far as blood testing goes.

Than in re-negotiations, he didn't want to accept a 50-50 purse split with manny. regardless of whether people agree or disagree with FLoyd's demands, he has every right to make them as he's clearly the PPV star between the 2.

Does he not want to fight because of issues with the purse split or blood/urine testing? Possibly, but don't think for a second Floyd is actually "Scared" of another boxer, let a lone a smaller guy in Manny P.

@ platonist---What are you talking about? Zab lost that fight 9-3 and it was very conceivable he was going to get stopped in the latter rounds, than that melee occurred between both camps and Floyd just decided to cruise to a UD in the last 2 rounds.

Ortiz was doing absolutely nothing besides fighting dirty on the inside. How you consider him getting KO'd being "suckerpunched,' I don't understand as it was clearly a legal shot. The ref never said "break," or "stop fighting." Keep your hands up at all times, even the most rudimentary of boxers should know this.

And I'm not even going to speak about Chop-Chop. he lost plain and simple.

It's amazing the guy has 45 fights and people can only pluck out a few "rounds" where FLoyd has gotten tagged cleanly. I think that speaks volumes of just how great of a fighter this guy is.

And since teaming up with his father again, his defense looks better than it's ever had.

    I agree.

But saying a guy is quite possibly the 36th best boxer that ever lived should not be seen as an insult.

*****s dont understand that there was other great fighters fighting each other in greater era's picking up losses along the way. Floyd being inside the top 50 (which i think he is) is a huge achievement for a guy fighting in an average era. He might end up top 30 when he retires. I love floyd but guys like Duran are greater in terms of all round skill and resume. Floyd will never break top ten. NEVER!

The fact that you didn't rank your top 35 discredits your argument though, number one it makes it hard for others to analyze your rationale, secondly, for all we know the only thing you did was list 35 hall of famers and historically great boxers not named Floyd and compiled a list. That can be done by anyone, how do we know how your rationale for list if you don't rank them? I can discredit Thomas Hearns or Duran and say that they are not top 30 boxers just by making an unstructured list of 30 well known boxers EXCLUDING Hearns and Duran and then claim those 30 guys were "better" all-time greats even though it can be bull****. Jerry rigging a sports list to exclude someone you don't like is very easy. I could make an unranked list of 20 NFL players excluding Peyton Manning and then claim that Manning is not a top 20 NFL player. Would you be satisfied with that list or would you want to see my rank so that you can analyze my claims?

You might have a point here. Do you think he can take the fight to Pacquiao and be the aggressor?
