They both fought equally weak/garbage competition. Floyd did better. That makes him higher ranked. it doesnt matter how many paper belts in extra weight classes one guy won or the other. The level of competition and HOW you win (not just if you win) determines ATG status. Not paper belts. Not extra weight classes. None of that nonsense

Who outside of the internet trolls rank Manny over Floyd? Many of Manny's opponents were former Floyd opponents who Floyd had already broken down for 12 rounds by the time they fought Manny.

This is the problem with boxing, people are ranking fighters based on out the ring issues and how "nice" boxers are. Tyson going to jail or doing coke has nothing to do with his career, if you love popularity contests then politics is for you but stay the **** away from boxing. You also cant talk about Tyson losing to Douglas when Manny got KO'd by Singsurat and Torrecampo.

 

It is during the mega fights were we see the major shifts in the sport of boxing. For example SRL demanded thumbless gloves of MMH and Tyson demanded drug testing from Evander. No one sees a problem with additional testing in any other mainstream sports so PAC will be looked upon as being on the wrong side of history.

 

What's wrong with additional testing ? All athletes who are clean are willing to test because they have nothing to hide. In what would be the biggest fight of this era it's only right that it is made sure both fighters are clean

I'm not talking about media figures, I'm talking about real life boxing fans you actually know. Who ranks Manny over Floyd that you actually know? And how many of them base it off of something solid besides which fighter is a "nicer" person outside the ring? Manny can be as nice as he wants, but Floyd doesn't have bad loses on his resume to guys like Singsurat or Torrecampo. Not even a young Floyd would lose to one of those guys. And even if you think Floyd lost to Castillo, losing to Castillo would still be better than getting KO'd by Torrecampo and Singsurat. Manny is a fighter who went on a hot stretch from 05 to 2011, Floyd has been consistent since his first fight. How or why would you rank a fighter higher than someone else simply for going on a run 6 year run and ignore the losses before and after that run? I can accept the loss to Morales and JMM because those guys aren't bad losses, but there are some bad losses on that resume that don't get talked about simply because Pac is a "nice guy" but a guy like Floyd or Broner getting KO'd by a dude like Torrecampo would have gotten them ran out of town.

 

Pac was never greater than Mayweather, so stop with the bull****. Until Pac beats Mayweather, he will remain behind him. Again, stop with the fantasies.
