I think the Juan losses really hurt his long term legacy.

I don't think you know what 'greater' means.

I disagree completely. As far as I'm concerned SRL had no right to dictate the rules of a fight from a guy who holds the title he's trying to take. Just because these guys were successful in dictating terms it doesn't make it right, and the vast, vast, vast majority of fights don't include one fighter dictating non financial terms to the other fighter, especially drug testing. Now look where it's gotten us, someone with an ego figures he's in a position to dictate terms to other fighter who doesn't feel compelled to go along with those terms and now they just don't fight each other. This basically kills the sport.

Much better to have the state commissions regulate these type of rules then everyone is on the same playing field.

Perhaps so but another view point is why should fighter A be dictating the terms to fighter B. If you want to ensure everyone is clean then have t he boxing commissions raise the standards, then it's not arbitrary and everyone is judged under the same criteria. Alternately they can get tested after the fight and if PED's are found that fighter is disqualified. I'm reasonably certain that if fighter A wins, he's not going to give a rats ass if Fighter B tested positive for PED's or not.

That's a big if. IMO there absolutely should be the random blood and urine testing leading up to and after the fight. These commissions do a horrendous job of making sure each fighter is tested an equal number of times leading up to the fight. the last thing the sport needs is for the biggest fight in all of boxing to be tainted by a failed test after the fight. Pacquiao should not feel as if he's being dictated to. if he is a clean fighter then he should look forward to proving so just as Mayweather would.

its gotta be pacquaio. wins over morales, barrera and marquez seal the deal. add cotto and mosley and hatton and i think pacquaio is comfortably ahead of mayweather in the atg ranks.

Undefeated really means nothing, because Timothy Bradley would then be better than Pernell Whitaker. Nobody is arguing that being UD makes someone greater, but Manny's career is defined by a hot streak from 2005 to 2011. How is someone going to be ranked as a higher ATG just because of a 6 year run when the other fighter is more consistent over time? And how do we focus on Pac's resume in regards to who he beat but disregard losses on the resume? It don't make logical sense, ATG great lists aren't about who you "like" more. The mere fact that we cant discuss Pac's and Floyd's legacy without people calling each other *******s and *****s shows that yall rank fighters based on who yall like, both of yall extremist Floyd-Pac fans are different sides of the same coin. Yall act like some little kids.

ATG status depends on quality wins, and Pac has more.

Numbers don't lie, Pacquiao is leading now even though he got KO'd 2 fights ago. Shows that Pacquiao has the better resume :deal
