Yeah we will see, Maidana is going to be made to look a fool vs Floyd.

I just hope the Floyd vs Khan gets made in the future so people like you can see Khan will cause Floyd problems for more than just 2 rounds..

    Just wait and see..

Both Maidana and Khan will be dominated.

Khan might not even get a Mayweather fight because he may lose his next fight or two.

He's always at a big risk. He is simply not that good for a world class fighter. It's not hard to see at all.

I'm a fan of many boxers including Floyd, who I've appreciated watching him since the mid-late 90's.

But I didn't care for either of these guys for him to fight against for May. Once I knew that he wasn't going to fight Bradley or Pacman, it really didn't matter to me who his opposition would be for May. But of the 2 choices, Maidana is clearly the more deserving of the 2. It's hard to assess how well Khan would've done as he was shaky at best the past few years at a lighter weight, whereas FLoyd was just coming off a dominant win at 154 against the # 1 guy in that division (Alvarez.) Personally, I see Floyd beating either guy with relative ease.

I'm ok with Maidana being picked, he's a titlist at WW and has been quite impressive since teaming up with the Garcia camp. I just hope since Floyd has only 3 opponents left after this, he goes after Pac, Bradley and the winner of Cotto/Martinez.

I think there's a chance that garcia throws in the towel late in the fight.

Maidana is going to come forward all night long and throw those looping shots. He's not going to change his fighting style too much while he's getting countered all night long. In the later rounds if Floyd is tattooing him the way I imagine he probably will, Garcia might just put Marcos out of his misery between rounds.

Maidana is slower than Guerrero is and he fights a more pressured style. This fight will pretty much be a Mayweather exhibition, in the same mold as Gatti-Floyd.

I'm in the same boat here.

I love watching Floyd, he's a joy to watch due to his mix of old-school skills and athleticism, but his level of opposition and frequency of fights leaves a lot to be desired.

Since he, Arum, and Manny have already lifted a big middle finger to the fans for years, I try to avoid paying for these PPVs.

Alvarez and Cotto were okay....Ortiz, Guerrero, Maidana? Blah.

I hope this doesn't sell well, even though I know it will.

    Agreed.

The problem with Maidana is that he's a foot planter in that he needs to plant his feet to generate power on his punches, that's all good against someone like Broner who has no footwork but when he starts trying to find Mayweather he'll always be out of range like he was against Alexander.

Mayweather could win this fight 12-0 if he wanted to but i think he'll sweep the first 9 rds and then cruise to victory in the last 3 and win a UD something like 10-2 (118-110).

I wanted floyd to fight lara, but I support his decision in maidana over khan. You need to understand that paqistanis don't have a single world class athlete to root for, this glass jawed bum is the best thing they ever had .Despite being 6th most populous country in the world , paqistan hasn't won olympic medal for more than 20 years. In other words they are worlds worst athletes with indians and other south asians and at the same time they're 30% of worlds total population. So yes khan has a lot of supporters and they are extremely sad now, coz the best thing they have is not good enough for floyd. IMO khan would give floyd a better fight than maidana, but Maidana deserves it way more and Floyd did the right thing.

I still think -1200 is too high. You'd have to tie up thousands of dollars just to get a decent return.

Gave the fans what they asked for?

    Is Mayweather fighting Pacquaio?

If not, then shut the hell up with that BS.

Well let's see GGG, Lara, Pacquiao, Thurman, Bradley, Garcia, Porter are all far better fights and in fact the first 3 on the list could beat him. You have bought into floyds bull**** hook line and sinker, "theres nobody who can beat me" yes thats true then you cherry pick a slow plodder who got beat by Khan, razor close with pensioner Morales, schooled by Alexander basically this is one of the worst possible fights for floyd to pick and probably in the top 3 cherry picks in his career joke fight.

So all of these fights are good fights to you? If any of them were made, would you call them cherrypicked fights?

This fight will emphasize why it's called the art of boxing

Poor Maidana. Should have beat Broner up again or fought Thurman.
