Because past few fights Mayweather has been fighting on Cinco de mayo and fights with stacked undercards which needed Garcia and Matthysse and also fought Alvarez.

Look at the Guerrero vs Mayweather only did around 800k buys :deal

    because he has no competition
had he been around during the holyfield, tyson, foreman, chavez, DLH era he would have been on the undercard.
right time, right place, right era

You know how you know that Floyd's made it? 800k buys is considered a "disappointment". 10 years ago, 800k buys for a non-heavyweight not named Oscar was unheard of. And even in Oscar's case, Oscar only topped Floyd's "disappointing" 800k buys in superfights against much bigger names than Guerrero, like Mosley, Hopkins, and Trinidad. Oscar only topped a million three times, and one of those three was against Floyd. By the way, this includes Oscar fights with stacked undercards and Oscar fights during Cinco de Mayo.

In other words, Oscar used all of the same advantages Floyd uses and was still eclipsed by Floyd as a draw. And Floyd isn't even Mexican!

There's no question whatsoever that Floyd is a huge PPV draw. You can question WHY he's a huge PPV draw, but you cannot question WHETHER he's a huge PPV draw.

You definitely can't deny that FLoyd is the biggest draw right now but you can't
compare today's PPV environment with 10 years ago. 2 totally different scenarios.

There are many reasons why Floyd is the top draw right now. One of the biggest
reasons is that he inherited the crown from DLH. Simply put, DLH was a big star without FLoyd. On the other hand without DLH , FLoyd would never have become this big.

You act like 800 K isn't a lot for his first Showtime fight.

Margo would have jumped down Mayweathers throat & punched his guts out of his arse:bbb:deal

Floyd on the ropes would be beaten into a coma, look at what happened to Cotto, we all know Floyd's the better boxer but he's gonna get the treatment & Floyd don't want none of that, he'd never ever take on an opponent that can unload 100+ punches a round none stop for all 12 rounds. It's a beat down & if Floyd survived the 12 he'd never be the same fighter again. Margarito brings full force violence to the ring & Floyd would be getting plenty of it as he lays on the ropes.............Floyd would be DOOMED:deal

No way he keeps the Tornado off him for all 12, Go watch the 1st Cotto fight again to see exactly what would happen to Floyd.:yep

Once again Mayweather contradicts himself how his fights are over 1 million ppvs, but no...Mayweather vs Guerrero only did 800k.

Mayweather needs names on his undercard and also may have Broner too on May.
He is a smart business man.. his team picks his opponents for him and that he cherry picks. Mayweather admitting this on video.

Floyd would have dominated Pac and he will beat him easy if they'll ever fight, but he's a coward .

So now you're believing everything Mayweather says wtf i bet you took his word as gospel when he called pac on using roids too huh :rofl It was 870 K buys by the way.

He is the biggest draw in the sport.
