LOL. Canelo was 40-0 at age 22. That tells you something about pro records in Mexico.

I'm not questioning Chavez Sr's greatness. You just have to be skeptical when you see a record like that.

    Fact:
Puncher's gloves or not, Maidana never once hurt Mayweather in spite of the fact Mayweather allowed him to throw 100 punches at him in multiple rounds.
If that were Randall Baily Mayweather would have at least been buzzed.

Your only as good as your last fight . . . or last couple of fights

    Mayweathers last 6

Maidana, Alvarez, Guerrero, Cotto, Ortiz, Mosley

5 world title fights despite Mosley holding the WBA strap, 4 world titles in 2 divisions

Floyd had minor trouble with Cotto, Rocked by Mosley and Maidana had a lot of success. Mosley caught Floyd clean once but could never capitalise and Mayweather tried fighting the other guys fight against Cotto/Maidana and made the fight more exciting

Stopped Ortiz (Controversially) Dominated Mosley, Guerrero, Alvarez

    Pacquiaos last 6

Bradley 2x, Marquez 2x, Rios, Mosley

4 world title fights, 1 title in 1 division

Bradley splits a win against Pacquiao controverisally as is the same with Marquez. Rios was coming off a loss and tailor made for Pac and Mosley gave trouble with Pac using movement. 2 Losses in rematch fights and 2 non impressive wins all fighting the same stable and for the same belt

Id say Floyd is the favourite

I imagine Mayweather would open as the favorite among odds-makers, something like -150.

Randal bailey wouldn't have had any amount of success against Mayweather. Wrong style but he's definitely a more powerful puncher between him and Marcos.

Good analysis Jordan. I only hold the two Marquez fights against PAC, I thought he lost both but beat Bradley in both fights. And he beat the **** out of Mosley and rios, unbelievably one sided fights.

Vegas would favour floyd, but after the maidana fight its a toss up for me.

He is, but he sacrificed it because like ESB, many fans don't appreciate the sweet science.
