Canelo did 350k with his fight against Angulo, this was coming off one of the biggest fights in boxing.

Floyd was doing them numbers against zab judah and Baldomir way before he faced Del La Hoya. So was floyd a huge draw then?

    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Still more PR than Pac vs Bradley with more reputable names on the under card.

*****s doing some serious mental gymnastics up in here.

Manny has shown an ability to draw 400k+ fighting a blown up punching bag in China in the middle of the goddamn day.

Floyd has ever had such a pointless fight, so we don't know how it would sell.

We do know that they both use different methods and achieve comparable results currently.

We do know that Floyd chooses to fight only on Latino holidays. We know Latinos are the only demographic around here that consistently buy fights, especially on Latin holidays and when the fighters are culturally relevant. I mean let's face it, Black people don't get together on MLK Jr Day and bro out over a barbecue buying a PPV with their family. White people don't celebrate...Columbus Day or whatever holiday pertains to them...by doing anything.

Manny sells mismatches by being a moderate draw in America and the only thing Filipinos have to be proud of in the sports world. They buy his fights. All of them. Bob knows this so he puts him in with anyone, barely promotes the fight, and puts on a **** undercard to save those fights for other opportunities since they add no buys.

Floyd sells mismatches by being a moderate draw in America, fighting opponents with ethnic fanbases who will watch a fight involving anyone of that ethnicity, stacking the undercards with interesting fights and name-value fighters, and doing it on holidays that bring out the Latino fans.

These are simple concepts. Manny is 100% indisputably a bigger draw than Floyd, because every Filipino cares about his fights. A relatively small percentage of Americans care about Floyd's fights, a slightly higher percentage of African Americans care about them, but only a relatively small percentage are rabid nationalistically-blinded sheeple who know nothing about boxing but know more about it than any other sport and are willing to throw down $75 to support their hero every time he fights.

It is what it is. Both fighters maximize their earnings with what they have. Don't buy into Floyd's BS about being some sort of big draw though. He's a smart businessman and knows how to get people to buy his events. He knows he can't do it alone. It's laughable that *****s use his supposed drawing power as a point of contention that he is better than Pacquiao/TBE/whatever.
