    Michael Konz Pacquiao's adviser said,

'Floyd won't fight Pacquiao with or without Arum'

Floyd Mayweather Jr. has no interest in fighting Manny Pacquiao. Period.

According to Pacquiao's business adviser Michael Koncz, the Filipino boxer's association with Bob Arumr is just the latest in Mayweather's long line of excuses to avoid the super fight.

Talking to Dan Rafael on ESPN.com, Koncz pointed out that if Mayweather wanted Arum out of the equation, he should have mentioned that a long time ago.

"I don't believe Floyd not fighting us has to do with Bob [Arum]," Koncz said. "Why did he wait until he exhausted all other excuses before saying he wouldn't fight Manny if Bob was involved?

First he brought up the drug testing [during the initial 2009 failed negotiations]. Then he wanted Manny to sign with him. Then he wanted to pay Manny only a flat fee of $40 million for the fight instead of sharing a percentage [of the revenue]. And now he can't fight Manny because Bob would be involved? Koncz enumerated.

Pacquiao has recently extended his contract with Top Rank until the end of 2016, which suggests that the Filipino boxer will likely have around five more fights over the next two years.

"We've been doing two fights a year so we'll continue to do two fights a year," said Arum, who is expected to push for Pacquiao's fifth meeting with Juan Manuel Marquez in Macau.

Mayweather has earlier made it clear that the superfight will never happen as long as Pacquiao maintains his ties with the Top Rank executive.

"We all know the Pacquiao fight, at this particular time, will never happen, and the reason why the fight won't happen is because I will never do business with Bob Arum again in life, the controversial boxer said.

Then why will Floyd enter into a negotiation with Manny back in 2009 if he was in his mind hoping that Manny will eventually drop TR before the negotiation ends?!! That is so stupid!!! As I've heard during the first negotiation, both parties were already in agreement with most of the key details including the purse split, ring size, who's name goes first and everything else, right up to the point when finally Floyd brought up the OSDT... There was nothing in there that said, Floyd told team Manny, "hey by the way Manny, I want you to drop the old guy if you really want to fight me"...

I've not ready any of this because I'm bored of these.

What I will say is that I'm pretty sure Floyd just said that he doesn't want Arum making $$$ off his name which is what he would be doing if he promoted MP in the fight

COme on, you know better than this..

Dude, Marquez ducked the immediate rematch with Pacquiao by out-pricing himself.. They offered him 750k but he wanted 1.5m, was offered 1.5m to fight Morales but Marquez wanted 3m, instead he fought John for 30k and lose..

Why did Pacquiao vs Marquez III happened years after the II? Because Pacquiao was fighting guys like Oscar dela Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto.. You are acting like you didn't want to see those fights.. :verysad

But again another lie, according to dan rafael floyd and mannys team both admitted that testing was on the table from the START of negotiations.... only at the end either there was miscommunication or manny thought 'im not doing that'... maybe manny assumed it meant normal testing as usual, once realizing it wasn't he disagreed to it.

Maybe after the 09 negotiations and all the insults from bob etc he thought i'm not dealing with that guy ever again... ever think that :S???

At the end of the day even if you argue wel floyd through in odst at the end.. how in the hell would he know manny would say no to it?? If i was an athlete and somebody asked me to take odst... whilst making over 30mill i think i'd be inclined to agree to it. The fact is manny has said NO twice.. i can understand the second with 40mil being crazy in terms of what the fight could generate.. having said that it's easily his best payday. Why he disagreed to odst being an athlete i'l never know. It should be mandatory to all sports to have good testing in place. We all know that **** testing is easy to get by.

Bull****! Why would Pacquiao leave the man who made him a boxing superstar? And how is leaving TR ensuring Pacquiao the "big fights" you are talking about? :huh

    I really doubt that !
The few times Floyd has been hit clearly with power shots, he was in trouble: against Corley, Mosley and Judah

fight should have happened years ago. fight is totally meaningless now. if pac wins, people will say floyd is over the hill, hes shot. if floyd wins, people will say the same thing. like rafael said, floyd wont get credit since he will not be facing the best pac there is

:conf i have blamed floyd more than pac for this fight not happening. but, there were times pac was the reason the fight didnt happen. we are now in 2014. pac is 35 and floyd is 37. both are past their primes. i wanted to see this fight when they were at their best. floyd will be remembered as the fighter who avoided fighting pac and did everything to protect his 0.
