Yeah man, you're mad because Pac fought Clottey.

Took you this long to stop being a 'fan'.

It's crap because it's a load of bull****. The reason you're mad :)lol:) with Pac and dislike him is because Floyd told you to, simple.

Are you also mad at Floyd for fighting Guerrero and Ortiz?...they're some weak ass opponents for the p4p #1.

floyd injecting his hand with lidocaine so that he doesn't feel the pain on his brittle hands when he punches

as margo putting that hardened strip on his wrap.

That is bull****. I'm all for intelligent debate but comparing pain killers to loaded wraps is apples and oranges.

Loaded wraps actually makes the punch heavier and harder.

both objective was/is to hit harder than they are capable.

margo with that hardened strip of old wrap is one way.

numbing your hand/fist so you can throw it as hard as you want without feeling it's effect is another.

to me, they are about the same.

The thing is, the hardened wraps increases the hardness of the punch. Numbing hands doesn't increase your power, it allows you to hit with the same power as you would if you didn't have knuckle problems.

I boxed amateur and don't have knuckle problems so I was able to throw punches with all my might without pain. If my knuckles became sore and I numbed them, it wouldn't give me more power, just bring me back to the level playing field because it would remove the handicap. Since Xylocane is legal in Nevada, other fighters with Floyd's condition can use it too.

    Wait. What?

Numbing of the hand prevents you from feeling the pain in your brittle hands. Lets make a scenario.

    1. Fighter with brittle hands. Breaks hand. Cant fight on.
    2. Fighter uses Lidocaine or the likes, breaks hand. Fights on because they cant feel it.

Now tell me how that is not performance enhancing?

What if a fighter was to use Lidocaine in their face? does that make it the same as plastered wraps? They are the same thing, just on the opposite end.

Fight "fans" are all sorts of backwards man. Plain stupid. Some of you "fans" are (as discussed in the original thread) like damn kamikaze pilots.

If you can not take PWO supplements before a fight you damn well shouldn't be able to take drugs to numb your hands from pain.

    exactly :good

now if you had brittle hands you wont hit as hard if you you didn't use numbing agent, isn't that a kind of performance enhancers for guys with brittle hands?

So because a boxer fades with age, they should be allowed to take PED's to take them back to their younger self? Not enough to make them superhuman power wise. But to make them back on top of their game?

That is essentially what you are saying?

The thing is PEDs are banned in that State so no. If some State came out and said PEDs are fair game and a fighter was willing to put his body through that, then go for it. As long as both fighters have the same opportunity to use it.

Same goes for Floyds situation, if Nevada came out and banned Xylocane then I would call him a cheat if he used it. Right now he isn't breaking any rules. Margo loading his wraps was breaking rules.

I agree.. It's also not like Floyd is known for having all this punching power anyway.. When was the last time you've seen Floyd throw a haymaker or a punch with all his strength? Doesn't look like he does at all that much if at all.. So that means if it did somehow (it doesn't) give him more power, he doesn't use it.. That's like me having a bat at a fight, but I knock you out without using it.. You can't say 'well he did have a bat'...

With all this cherry picking, peds, paid off people, and cheating some day Floyd is doing, you'd think he'd get caught or at least put under a microscope by everyone.. Instead he is recognized as p4p #1, highest paid athlete, and best boxer on the planet and our generation...
