no. it has nothing to do with it. it comes down to floyd playing the villain and people buying into it a little to much. floyd knows he will never have the publics love but he will have their money and interest.

all blacks, spot the odd one.

it 's not pac's fault pedjr has a charisma a 90yr old with aids, he resorted to stunts, antics, anything that would entice people to pay attention, to make emotional connection with the public even if it is hate.:deal

Imagine if Manny was pretending Floyd to leave his promoter and to sign under him.

Imagine Pacman's father saying things like "I'm concerned about my son's health if he ever fight Floyd, that's why i don't want him to fight Floyd"

or "Floyd's on a-side meth, he on that or he on sumfin' else, i'm tellin you!"

Imagine Paquiao saying "i'm off to Africa" after some big Floyd victory.

Or imagine Paquiao retiring from boxe right after Floyd's biggest win, when the pressure to make the fight was at the top, only to comeback some months later.

Imagine Paquiao acting like a lil' scared teenager ***** after having seen Margarito in person at a convention, and ducking him, instead of entering the ring with him and beating the leaving crap out of him.

Imagine if Paquiao was stalking one of his fan spamming her with questionable photos on Snapchat without knowing that yes, it is possible to save photos even in snapchat, and the fan in question posting the photo on internet saying "stop sending it, you ain't packing, honey!"

Without mexican holyday and exceptional undercard nobody would have watched it.

Paquiao vs Bradley did the number without anyone worth in the undercard and outside of particular circumstances. :deal

They did close to the same numbers, the difference is one guy got paid 32 million and the event was a huge spectacle. It's pretty easy to see which was successful based on the budget.

Successful by whose definition? I don't think Showtime/GBP will be very happy with those numbers, given the fact they had to guarantee Floyd so much.

Exactly my point, Floyd's was a disaster because of how big the budget was.

Let's not forget Pacquiao vs. Bradley had much less advertising and publicity. That all costs a lot of money.

also Pac already beat Bradley in a somewhat boring fight. We already knew what was going to happen.

For me two things are true:
1-Floyd and his promoters put on huge EVENTS. They put big names on the undercard and usually fight Hispanic fighters on Mexican holidays. They ARE bringing in bigger PPV numbers.

2-Manny is the biggest WORLDWIDE boxing star. His aggressive offensive style, KO power, and humble attitude has made him the most POPULAR fighter of his era. However his promoters are not putting on the big events as of late. Fighting in China and spending very little money on the promotion.

Top Rank - relies solely on Manny to make the event.
Showtime - wisely relies on the opponent, undercard, media promotion, the date, as well as Floyds drawing power.

    It takes two to tango!
