Yeah, this forum is a weird place. The fight is almost completely irrelevant now. Both fighters are over-the-hill, even if they made the fight this year it would be at least 3 years too late.
Pacquiao's not even rated highly any more, as a pound-for-pound fighter.

how do you figure?manny beat bradley,who beat marquez,then there is porter who beat paulie.thurman who beat fringe contender sotto karras,brook who beat senchenko,maidana,bin there done that, #10 ranked khan,guerrero,danny garcia who lost his last fight,provo,and bradley. it is clear manny is the best challenger,the most popular,will pay the most.floyd is just hoping manny will go away,but he wont.soooo,floyd will just dodge manny one fight at a time,stone walling and putting up smoke screens for his gullable little fans to believe.hes making a fool out of all who believe him.

if a company offered you a great job...great pay...then wanted you to take a drug test...and you said no thanks....and took another job(clottey)

later the same company still had interest in you because they liked you and thought you were talented and wanted your services....you continued to make excuses and contradict yourself as to reasons why you didnt want the job...you strung them along and kept telling them you might be interested but really made no actual move or effort towards taking the job

what if that company pretended they wanted to employ you but only offered you one third of what you were worth?giving you rules and regulations to fallow no other employee has to fallow, knowing full well you would turn it down,just to look politicly correct,and the real reason they wouldnt hire this guy was he was so good,that he might embarrass the company by taking it over and taking jobs of those hireing him.thats a little more like it.

 

when did manny get a 1/3 of his worth offer?...he was offered a 50/50 split the first time around? so how can you claim thats 1/3.....the only one pretending was arum....that was a great deal and manny walked....why is this ignored...did it not happen? he had 50/50 on the table...stop glossing over it and jumping ahead.....

when floyd offered manny 40 mil....he was also going to pay arum 10-15 mil to step aside....manny would not owe any of that 40 mil to arum....that was pacs directly....and if you analyze projected numbers.....that 55 mil floyd would have paid out would have equated to somehwere around 60/40....which at the time was still a decent deal......didnt pac say hed be willing to take less

this notion that at any time pac was ever offered 1/3 of what hes worth is absurd and twisted
