Well Floyd sells fights like Ali.. So it'd be hard to get everybodies respect. However, if he fought those guys, he'd be something like Pacquiao.
The Pac haters always say "TKO6", or "he's a hypocrit", etc, etc, BUT you rarely hear people say Manny is a coward (at least by anybody who isn't a known troll).
Manny fighting Morales, Barrera, and JMM in the smaller classes (win or lose), fighting much bigger guys that Mayweather avoided, fighting JMM 100x now (even though JMM always puts up a tough fight), and now wanting to fight him again after getting KOed.

So yeah, if Floyd fought all of those guys he'd still be hated because that's how he sells fights.. but he'd definitely be much more respected

Well Mayweather actually engages opponent's so your right about that, Williams was a tall guy that fought small and couldn't make adjustments all to well. 147 lb Williams whether you feel he was ducked or not never beat anyone worth a note between WW-MW to really say how he would do on that level. Prime Willaims got beat by Quintana and Prime Margarito got beat by Santos and struggled with Clottey wasn't nobody ducking them they just weren't fighting anybody good enough to ******t them getting a title shot.

Its very possible Williams could beat Mayweather,Williams wasn't a real WW anyway so he should beat WW's but saying its guaranteed when he's never shown he was that elite A-level fighter he was made out to be is a misjudgment of talent.

For *****s everyone fraud fights is an ATG while the guys he avoided are all ****.

Plus they cant even discuss the intricacies of a fight their only ******ed ass logic is that if someone was beat then Floyd would beat him too, either that or the over used line of "Hes a stylistic nightmare" thats all they have.

Cant talk boxing with know nothing ignorant wellfare abusing suffering from the ill effects of aids maggots that are the fraud fans aka the worse group of fans in the history of the sport.

i swear i'll never take anything you say serious on this forum again. P-Dubb wasn't an A fighter. You're crazy if you think he's going to beat Floyd at all, and then by shut out? You're nuts. Floyd does what it takes to win. If by the 3rd round he saw that fighting defensive wasn't gonna get it done, he'd adjust and proceed to batter and outclass Williams. C'mon Son :bart

Bro the opposite would be true as well, Baldomir has fought a higher level of comp than Margarito has accounted himself in more divisions yet Margarito is the key to being an ATG and Baldomir is a bum.

Just looking at them and some recent comp Williams/Margarito as far as accomplishments and titles won Alvarez, Maidana, Guerrero, & Cotto will all go down higher all-time than Margarito and Williams yet none of thoses are legacy fights. The only ATG/HOF type name people bring up that Mayweather didn't fight was Pacquiao and Pacquiao turned the fight down twice when it mattered.

As far as fan's you sir are a disgrace for the sport with the ignorant statement you made I guess all Pacquiao fans are small dog eating asians using your logic..but that's not true because just like Mayweather there are people from many different facets and environments that root for them because they are the two best in this era. I know black people who can't stand Mayweather and phil's that think Pac is overrated

Castillo beat Floyd stop acting like he's unbeatable. Williams would have presented a serious challenge anyone saying he wouldn't hasn't watched him fight and only know him from his brutal ko loss to Sergio. You're either ignorant fans or not old enough to have even seen the type of fighter he was.

Williams height could present a challenge but Castillo is the best LW in the last 20 year's Williams isn't the best anything no disrespect to him. Your judged by the comp you fight and KOing 30 bums doesn't equal beating even 5 a-level fighters.

Mayweather beating better fighters than Williams gives him the advantage in public opinion of who would win because Williams has never fought or beat anyone on that level so to say what he would do is hard when there is no top fighter you can base it off of.

Is Sergio Martinez not a top fighter? Paul won the first fight. And part of the reason maravilla is rated so high was because he ko'd Paul. And I know this sounds absurd but he also beat margarito at his pinnacle when no one wanted to fight him and around the time he destroyed the undefeated cotto. I'd say those are pretty big wins.

That being said I'm not saying he'd beat Floyd, I just think its ridiculous guys on here are writing him off like he was some journeymen.

Margarito lost to Williams in 07, Margarito-Cotto happened at the end of 08 and Cotto is the only quality win in Margarito's career, Williams-Martinez I is comparable to Williams-Lara a dubious decision Williams won, it was more competitive than the Lara fight but a bad decision none the less Martinez is rated so high becuase of his win over the Undisputed MW Champ Pavlik. Williams for all his potential has a journeyman level resume on the same level of Berto, Baldomir, Clottey, Quintana...

    Floyd's gonna school these guys?

    But he can't handle maidana

Or Castillo 1 where he lost

Castillo 2 where he said he wasn't injured anymore but still went life and death with a shot to **** Castillo

That's my issue as well. Stop making the guy invincible. I'd have him favoured over all those guys but he's not going to roll over them. Look how effective maidana was early, look at the Castillo fight, as limited as margarito was he would not be easy for Floyd at all, he's a mauler and throws a lot.
