When it comes to talking "greatest ever" - and you chose the topic - there are a number of fighters with CVs superior to Mayweather's.

Could be worse... Pac could have put up a poll on his site asking who the fans wanted, then when Khan won, decide not to fight him and fight a guy he beat instead.

Manny Pacquiao beat these Hall of Famers:

    Marco Antonio Barrera
    Erik Morales
    Juan Manuel Marquez
    Oscar De La Hoya
    Ricky Hatton
    Miguel Cotto
    Shane Mosley
Timothy Bradley (yes if Hatton, Corrales and Castillo make HOF, then Bradley for sure too).

    maybe I forgot a couple.

If Floyd is TBE, then Pack is 2nd best of all time.

Algieri whilst unproven at Pacs level has just come off a great win over a fighter in Provodnikov who was the "beast" of the moment.

It was a very good win.

Khan on the other hand hasn't had a big win since Judah in 2011.

Career resume wise Khan should get the nod over Algieri , but Algieri is the one coming off a big win. Plus I think he's not going to embarrass himself, he could make it hard for Pac with his size.

PAC to Khan: My health come first, I'm not going to make the same mistake Ali did.

I thought of Alzado as I wrote my post.
Before his death, Alzado preached that he thinks his brain cancer developed from the use of steroids. That however cant be proven, what other athletes have developed brain cancer and who used steroids?

I dont believe there's a rash of football players who have developed brain cancer.
Alzado is one football player. If you could tell me that there's a significant ammount of players who've developed certain illnesses and that the medical community believes it may come from steroids, then I think more athletes would be hesitant about ever starting a PED regimen.
