means nothing especially when you do not fight the best. Which Floyd has come no where near doing.

Unless you beat a several HOF'ers and several era defining fighters.

You judge fighters by what they do, not what they don't do.

47-0 is 47-0, especially with HOF on the Resume.

I don't want him and Pac to fight. I want them both out the sport so we can get with the next gen already. They're both old

I bet you were "that dude" telling everybody that Maidana was gonna "Do it, bro! Just watch!", right? Now you wanna revert back to the "fighting the best" thing...what was it before this fight? So you're saying you didn't have your hopes up? Give the man credit. He made it look easy. It may not be to your liking but you're not the one making 36 million...
And what kind of post is 47-0 don't mean squat? Who the f**k else is 47-0?

It's the fight that will haunt his legacy.

While the magnitude of the fight has diminished in the present, it certainly hasn't in the grand annal of history.

If Mayweather never fights Pacquiao, that will be the huge knock on him, even if he goes 1000-0.

The fight needs to happen, if for no other reason than it's a question Floyd will have to answer to for the rest of his life if it doesn't. If it happens now, people will call it pointless, but in the future, where all accomplishments are ultimately judged, all that will matter is that Mayweather fought Pacquiao.

Nobody will remember where Pacquiao's career was at the time Mayweather fought him. All they will remember is that these two greats fought and someone won, someone lost. Regardless of the outcome, this fight needs to happen for both their legacies.

If Mayweather loses to Pacquiao, for about 2 weeks, everyone will say Mayweather lost to Pacquiao and was never that good, but in 50 years, all anyone will be saying is Mayweather was the GOAT. Even though he lost to Pacquiao at the end of his career.

But if Mayweather doesn't fight Pacquaio, his career, even in 50 years, will always have that asterisk.

A loss to Pac, however unlikely it is, is far better, in the long term, than having never fought him at all.

And when Mayweather beats Pac, nobody will remember that Pac was never that good at the time, they will just remember that Mayweather beat him.

    That's how history works.

If Mayweather doesn't fight Pacquiao, regardless of his amazing accomplishments, he will never live that one down. Win or lose.

Taking the biggest fight and losing is far better than never taking the biggest fight and having it follow you for your whole career, overshadowing all the great things you accomplished.

And odds are, Mayweather beats Pacquiao, but if he doesn't fight him, it's like he lost to him for the rest of his career because it will haunt him.

Pac may lose his next fight. The one thing Floyd pointed out was not focusing on the opponent in front of you ,which is how he went to sleep again Juan ...I smell an Upset here ,my predition over the last two months have been spot on.100% correct on every fight i have chosen...I have not chosen yet for the Pac vs Algerie but i Beginning Nov 3 ....

    47-0 is incredible.

The most impressive record in history.

    But that's only right now.

In 20, 30, 40....50.....100 years, the statement won't be 47-0 is incredible, the statement will be 47-0, but he never fought Pacquiao.

Unfortunately, that is how history will judge May.

But if he does fight Pacquiao, even now, when the fight seems to have passed it's height, the statement will either be, 47-1, easily the greatest of all time. Or 48-0, without a doubt, the greatest of all time.

I'd rather have both of those than 47-0, but he never fought Pacquiao.
