Please refer to the thread in that quote.

"More successful masking agents?" & "Are there any PEDs that will show up in X body sample that will not show up in Y body sample?" No; it's all relative. Different body samples will contain substances in different concentrations & at different stages of metabolization. But, when analyzed thoroughly, they CAN be detected.

Urine & blood can be used to test for HGH. The blood test for HGH is older (& more widely familiar in the field as a result). There are different methods for masking HGH & related hormonal markers for both types of samples.

Again, IMO, random testing is the best practical method of catching PED cheaters.

    Damn Floyd...

From time 2 time, I fight tooth n' nail at restaurants, sports bars, fight parties, at the gym, even at the fights, trying explain in some form of rationale The Clutter, The Confusion and at times, The Ridiculous RANTS of My Favorite Fighter: Floyd Mayweather Jr.

And because Floyd is not the most Articulate, Educated nor Well-Grounded Black Athlete in America, i.e. Michael Jordan, Grant Hill, Derek Jeter, just to name a few. Alot of what he says gets "Lost in Translation" through URBAN VERNACULAR (Street Slang).

Now throughout the years, I have done a damn good job of trying to Defend, Explain and get Casual and even the Hardcore Boxing fans to the Understand some of the so-called Floyd Mayweather perspective...NOT AGREE...But simply understand where he's coming from...Sometimes.

But this recent "stunt" is pissing me off. And I have been down with Floyd since he stopped my younger brother in the 2nd round of their 1994 quarterfinal fight at the US Golden Gloves Championships at 114lbs.

Personally, I understand that Floyd wants to make sure that the TWO best fighters in Sport go into the ring with nothing but HEART & SKILL...I get it.
But if what I heard is correct...that Floyd wants to change the schedule for "RANDOM TESTING"...I CAN'T DEFEND THAT ****!!! Especially when Roach and Manny have already agreed to the INITIAL TEST!!!

    DON'T SCREW THIS UP FLOYD!!!!
    :deal

You seem to be unable to make an informed opinion on the matter, which is why you think the reaction is shameful. Maybe thats because like you said you are a newbie and a casual fan. If you were a hardcore fan you would understand that Pacquiao has submitted to drug testing several times up until as recently as November 2009. The same drug testing that every other boxer has to go through, the same drug testing that has caught several cheaters. Pacquiao has always been tested clean. Now Floyd has made demands for additionnal testing on Pacquiao that other boxers do not have to go through by an independant agency that Floyd's camp chose. Pacquiao agreed to the tests but on the condition that the tests not be taken too close to fight night. A very reasonable condition to a pretty unreasonable demand from his opponent.

I can see how a newbie casual fan would think that this is all Pacquiao's fault, but you shouldn't be surprised that the more knowledgeable fans have a different opinion.

    I am all for it.

9-10 urinalysis and 5-6 blood tests, is that not enough? You have to think most of those will be random.

Mayweather and GBP are trying to impose their muscle in negotiating through the media, and trying to corner Pacquiao into giving in to their demands. He's done it with Marquez and they are trying to pull it with Pacquiao. Pacquiao should just drop this fight and move on.

It's like running through hoops, and they are trying to smear and drag his name and legacy through the media.

Then why not do it for the fans of the sport & then take it out on Floyd in the ring where it will undoubtedly hurt all the Mayweather`s the most ?

That surely would be the real satisfaction.

    Yes. I. Do.

I never said urine tests were "unbeatable". I'm saying the premise that blood analysis is "superior" to urinalysis is wrong. Different testing of different body samples is just that: Different. Not "superior", not "inferior".

There is no single infallible PED test. None. There never will be. The science is constantly evolving.

Mayweather Sr. may as well ask for stool samples, spinal fluid, or tears.
