Now you write a thread with this many verified facts about the failed negotiations and the opponents they fought instead? I'll wait while you make up some heresay sh-t with no evidence to support it.

SHOWTIME is not in the business to lose money.

Do you think they're going to pay Mayweather 32 Million to fight a nobody and lose millions of dollars?

    LOL.

If only Mayweather knew how to read a contract, he wouldn't be in this situation.

    He clearly overestimated his worth.

You knew he was in this situation when Jim Grey asked him if he was going to fight Pacquaio.

I mean, what the hell is the problem?

It's not like Pacquaio is killing people. Why the hell is this guy so afraid to fight a guy Bradley fought twice, and JMM fought 4 times???

    It's f uckin pathetic.

Just fight the guy and make money.

WHAT the hell is the problem???

If things get too hot, expect Mayweather to retire. I'm very skeptical of SHOWTIME signing off on a Khan fight.

I just don't see that fight selling very well. I could be wrong, but we'll see.

Either way, if Canelo vs Cotto are up for Cinco De Mayo, Mayweather is off the table.

HBO doesn't have to pay Canelo and Cotto anywhere near 32 million for the fight and will definitely profit, while simultaneously outselling a Mayweather fight if Mayweather were to fight someone not named Pac on the same day.

HBO would win money while weakening their opposition significantly which means less competition, gives them more strength at the bargaining table.

SHOWTIME will NEVER sign off on Mayweather fight on Cinco De Mayo if Canelo and Cotto are set to fight on during that weekend as well.

Lol you guys miss the point, when talk mattered was during negotiations. Everything else said outside of negotiations means nothing from both camps. Fights don't get made on camera they get made during negotiations and its on record that top recycle and pac ended negotiations both times, as well as avoid mayweather and golden boy calls.

There is proof that golden boy tried to make the fight before Floyd went to jail. Bob arum confirmed this when he started up with :

    The cut won't heal
    We need a stadium
Manny is busy being a congress man

Then there is also proof that Floyd called and Manny just had Michael hang up . this was after Manny said he would take less but then said on the phone:

    "Pipty/pipty" back tracking himself.

Point out the times arum and pac have reached out tofloyd/GB to try and make the fight. Please don't bother with quotes that are outside of negotiations. I'm talking about actual attempts to negotiate the fight. Fights do not get made on camera, so it doesn't matter what Manny said or what Floyd said unless it was in negotiations.

    Manny has also been quoted:

"I do not need may weather"
"I'm happy with my career with out ployd"
    "Heabby distraction"
    "Blood being taken weakens me"

Official PPV numbers have been quiet for the Mayweather-Maidana 2.
It most probably flopped, unlike the Mayweather-Alvarez...the Official PPV results was released within a week.

TJ Max tried to be a tough guy in the other thread about this. Just want to make sure he reads my thoughts on it so I'll post it here too.

    -------------

It's not a science. It's just a prediction. I don't pretend to be in the boxing industry... My thoughts, if you care to read them without cynically insulting...

There isn't going to be that dramatically great of a difference between Alvarez and Cotto fighting on a Mexican holiday or a Puerto Rican holiday. Hell, they could fight in February and the numbers wouldn't fall off that dramatically from any other time of the year, in my opinion. Mayweather, being an American who is disliked and watched to see lose more often than not, relies on those Mexican holidays more for the casual tune ins and connecting with the Mexican-American audience (which no doubt is boxings biggest audience in the US).

Fighting in June/July would give Alvarez and/or Cotto the chance to take a soft touch interim bout, so there is some logic there (especially when we know HBO was planning for that in December with Alvarez/Clottey).

Mayweather has some bargaining chips with HBO here... With Al Haymon behind him, he could easily agree to match up some of his fighters with some HBO guys on HBO in a de facto "trade" of sorts. Mayweather also has millions of dollars that he could throw for essential "step aside" money. And lastly, the MGM in Vegas would be the likely location for both and they have quite the great relationship with Mayweather and have for many years.

Do you still find it completely unreasonable and worthy of attempting to insult someone for having this opinion, wait, this prediction???

    ------------

As for Showtime not approving Khan, well, that's too bad because Khan was one of the six names on the pre-approved list of opponents for Floyd when he signed the Showtime contract (along with Guerrero, Alvarez, Maidana, D. Garcia, and Angulo).

Where have you been? Floyd is the only one holding up the fight. If Floyd wants to fight PAC it happens.... It's always been the case. He didn't need to make demands.....makes baseless accusations or insult Manny in his way in "attempting" to make this fight reality.

Floyd took that route becuase he didn't want to make the fight. No one negotiates like that who are looking for a positive outcome. Using Floyds tactics the results are exactly what we've seen since 2009....failed negotiations and the fight nowhere near being finalized. It's not hard to see reality becuase Floyd's not even trying to cover up his contradictions or lies..... He just keeps it moving.

A fighter can't insult another fighter? Really? Then how did Floyd ever get Gatti, Oscar, Shane, or Hatton in the ring because all he ever did was insult them 24/7 (pun intended)

Insults is one thing but Floyd was on some racial insults that took the "pre-fight hype" to a place that was counter productive. Floyd wasn't making accusations or special demands for anyone before talks of Manny.....Floyd didn't feel the need to throw out racial insults against any other opponent before or after.....PAC for whatever reason has Floyd acting brand new.

So now Manny's feelings are hurt? You know what you do to a fighter who insults your honor? You meet then in the ring and humble them, you don't run to a lawyer a.k.a. promoter to sue, you fight in the ring!! And Manny never made a stand against Floyd's "racist" taunts, he made a stand to avoid random blood tests! That my friend was the dishonorable move...it's Pac not Floyd who should be ashamed...

You really think Mayweather is going to spend millions of his own money to tell HBO or their fighters to take a hike May 5th? First of, HBO is gonna tell him to take a long walk off a short pier. Second, Mayweather will not touch a cent of his own money for that. He has Haymon, and Showtime. I doubt either will get in the way of HBO if they really want to make that fight
