I didn't say it was a good fight just some background from the best of my knowledge. Back when they were trying to sat up May-Cotto at 140 Cotto's trainer(who also trained Henry) wanted to see how there style would do. Bruselses grew up with and trained with Cotto there whole life, this and the Gatti fight is why May-Cotto never happened early on.

 

But he didn't take on all comers like boxers in the past so it doesn't mean as much.

Add to that the fact that he only fought like twice a year for many years and also had a retirement in between.

Yes I do know all of that. It was set up by the promoter for both sides to gauge a potential fight. Cotto admitted to turning down the fight back in 2005-6 in the build up to their 2012 fight.

 

Pac could have asked for the fight like Cotto did before he resigned with Arum but did not for some reason.

 

If Bob Arum was the issue, why did Mayweather Offered Pacquiao 40 million with no ppv share and drug testing demands?

Mayweather should have said No Bob Arum in the first place.

Then why was there plenty of documentation of him saying he didn't want additional drug testing beyond what the local commission does for a potential fifth fight? Obviously he has said he doesn't want a fifth fight for the reason you cite too, but he also did make a small fuss when questioned about drug testing similar, nearly identical, to how Pacquiao reacted to the demands when he wanted a fight with Floyd in 2009-2010. Just saying that it is ironic.

point is jmm turned it down because of 4 fights he finally knocked pac out and wanted to keep the feeling completely different

 

Pac will end up fighting stupid fights probably for much much less. Pac will never get that fight 100%. Anybody who believe that once pac signs with tmt and gets a guarantee of fighting floyd is a complete dumbass.

 

putting a gun to floyd's head would be the only thing making that fight
