And Floyd wouldn't have gotten $200 million. Alvarez got like $13 mil, Floyd got $80. That's less than $100 mill split between fighters. What makes you think May vs Pac is a $240 mill split?

I know most people don't put much stock in what Espinoza or what Arum say, And I know everyone is tired of these copycat threads. But apparently according to SHO there actually were recent talks between Top Rank and SHO about a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight.

According to SHO they offered 40 Mil minimum purse for Pac and
a 35% split of all the revenue for TR, and Arum/Pacquiao said no.

We'll probably never get the real truth but, say this is 100% genuine do you think Manny should have told them to agree?

While I couldn't find the article, so I won't bite, I will say that markq is correct and somehow this will be viewed as another duck... HBO would have not approve of Top Rank agreeing to this if it is not on their network.

 

Don't think it's an article someone just posted a link of him responding to fans on his twitter. Someone commented more than likely bashing SHO about the fight and this is what the reply was, I take it with a grain of salt but SHO says talks started 3 months ago and that Top Rank aren't negotiating thought it was interesting if true what's your opinion on it?

 

Because Pacquiao can't sell over 400k PPVs in Macau so they need to use Floyd's name to at least get 600k.

Well it kind of sounds like the supposed Loeffler negotiations over the phone with HBO and both parties back in, I think it was the end of 2011... I never put much stock into that, certainly much, much less than the actual negotiations at the ass end of 2009 (the only time a real effort has been made by both parties to any extent) and, honestly, even that "phone call 40M offer."
