14 days is ample time to recover. If Pac doesn't sign this he's a ***** and I'm never watching him fight again.

It's just inconsistency. They aren't reading from the same page and they are contradicting each other. Apparently Roach said he wanted a 5 day window at least, Floyd is offering 14, Pacquiao & Arum will only go to a 24 window.

Like most people said if this is really Floyd's offer and the fight can still be signed it will be fair to blame Pac for the fiasco.

the 14-day window but he is still unwilling to agree to it, even though this is obviously a fair compromise on my part as I wanted the testing to be up until the fight and he wanted a 30-day cut-off."

Mayweather added: "I am ready to fight and sign the contract. Manny needs to stop making his excuses, step up and fight."

= Before the mediations, not during. Where were the reports of this when he offered it? At what time? I don't follow everything can someone help me here? I would think Arum would have mentioned this, or Roach, or Pac, or Koncz or Arum or Dubeof or Ariza or Buboy or Jinkee or....

= Now, i.e. After the mediations

I like this clearly intentional and clever wording. We already have *****s stating that if the mediator issues no denial it proves that Floyd's side offered 14 days in mediation. Ha ha ha. How so? He never said anything about what he offered in mediation.

Don't you think, that if he offered this DURING the mediation, that he would have stated that? Why do you think that he (surely on the advice of others) prefaced it with "before" the mediation and bookended it with "I am still proposing" .

To me this is typical Floyd. He doesn't make the fights. There is no "during" there is only denying any of the top welters ever challenged him and then discounting the same fighters after they lose to someone else.

This is going to be fun.

I agree with Luke O and others that 14 days is FAIR as long as they are taking just a tiny bit of blood and not interfering with training in any real way, absolutely.

But Floyd has never stated he offered this in mediation. HE is offering it NOW. He claims he offered it BEFORE mediation.

    Tell us, oh

, what did you offer Pac during the mediation?

Spot on, according to sources Void came back with NO counter proposal & just walked away, so basically now he's trying to stuff the toothpaste back in the tube because team Mayweather have badly miscalculated & didn't expect everyone to see through the blatant ducking.

Very good observation, you're probably right about his offer being different during the mediations.

But does it really mater now? If Floyd said it now wouldn't it be enough for Roach or someone form the Pac camp to say IN THE MEDIA: ok we're taking the 14 days? IMO Floyd would have no choice but to accept.

It's clear Floyd's just trying to save face with the public perception of him. Epic fail. I wish Pac would agree to the 14 days to see what Floyd says next. I bet Arum is laughing at all of this and wants Floyd to crawl on his knees and beg for the big payday.

There was no counter proposl, so the 14 day window statement is a lie.

During the whole process, publicly, Arum has put forth his other options (Foreman, Malignaggi, Marquez x 3, etc) without much hesitation. It is possible that he told them, since he already had given Floyd's side an ultimatum previously, that if they don't strike a deal during mediation, he would strike one with another figher right after mediation closed. These types of things are done to make them realize this is it, and put pressure on finding a solution.

Knowing that Arum, if he doesn't make a deal, goes out and makes Pac / Clottey, allows Floyd to say what he said, knowing that Pac has already signed for Clottey.

I am only speculating of course. The release on facebook is very very very strange to me. And I would think Arum wields enough power to switch gears and make Pac / Floyd happen eve if they had already moved forward with Clottey, hell - they can put him on the undercard and / or throw him a small payout.

So yes, Floyd saying this even now still carries weight and now must see how Pac's side responds - they must respond.

How is it a lie? Floyd has just come out in the media and said he's proposal a 14-day no testing window. Why would he made himself look like a fool & come out and say it if he isn't proposing it? Otherwise if it wasn't down as an offer, Pacquiao & Top Rank would come out and say 'Yeah we'll agree to 14 days' and then Floyd would look like an idiot if he wasn't really going to agree to it.

Arum even commented on the 14 day window and said they wanted 24. Of course he's offering it, if Pacquiao doesnt sign it's his fault. Even Roach said he only wanted 5 days, and claimed Pacquiao only says he feels weak for 3-4 days. So 14 days is plenty.

It's quite funny really, Pacquiao finds a replacement opponent & comes up with the dangerous Clottey, Void comes up with Matt Hatton or Malignaggi!

Because the official party line was Arum made a counter proposal to edge towards a compromise, & when it was Mayweathers turn to come up with a counter counter proposal he flat out refused & walked away, no mention of the 14 day window. That's why he didn't release a statement straight away, team Mayweather spent yesterday trying to dream up an excuse, enter the 14 day thing.
