Why not just leave it as it is Anyone that doesn't was to read the Mayweather/Paquaio diatribe have not GOT to read it.
As adults surely we can choose for ourselves what BOXING topics we discuss.

I said before the fight if PAC struggles with Algeri he shoulder retire immediately. That shows how highly I think of Algeri.

I don't see how you can criticize victories over Maidana, Ortiz, and Guerrero (all opponents Pac hasn't fought, not a coincidence) and not criticize Algieri. It makes literally no sense.

Nah, you're not really keeping in perspective what it was like before all things Mayweather vs. Pacquiao related were merged into one thread...or you don't remember. (given your join date, you were here for at least some of that 'wilderness' era)

In an ideal world sure there could be speculation on the fight or discussion of rumors pertaining to it without it devolving into trolling from either side, but come on. You know the fan bases in question. You know the reputation of the General Forum here, which didn't originate during but the severity of which does stem from largely from those couple of years where it was nothing but childish "Mayweather vs. Pacquiao" trolling and baiting as far as the eye could see on Page 1, 2, 3, etc.

The extremists of those fan bases - on both sides - constitute a large number of the membership that has driven the real boxing fans away from this and other forums, and they are why, essentially, we 'can't have nice thing'. (like a legitimate discussion of aspects of this hypothetical match-up or developments relating to its eventuality, in an ideal world)

Call it a power trip if you want, but I am inclined to believe you only feel that way because you had a thread merged in here? Most people (who aren't part of the aforementioned fan bases or, conversely, "haters" of either fighter) seem to get the point of this and express appreciation for it.

I would say Maidana would win a clear UD but maybe drop a few rounds, or a stoppage but I see him dropping 3-5 rounds and scoring a few KD's.

I do think Algieri would beat broner though.

Wow, you just completely don't get it.

Nothing is being censored. Nothing gets deleted. All content in the "Mayweather sucks", "Mayweather is the GOAT", "Pacquiao sucks", "Pacquiao is the GOAT", and "Mayweather vs. Pacquiao blah blah" threads is left 100% intact - it just all happens to be here. Instead of clogging up the forum as zillions of threads, many titled with profanity or childish nicknames.

Exactly. Anyone that wants to read the Mayweather/Paquaio diatribe can sift through all conglomerated 3,916 (and counting) pages of it. All right here, if anybody is so inclined.

For those who don't want to read it, all they have to do is not open this very thread. :good (and they don't have to scroll past a page, or two, or three, or eleven, of nothing but Mayweather/Pacquiao diatribe - most of it trolling - simply to get to a non-Mayweather/Pacquiao topic)

Maidana with Garcia will crush Alexander I hope they rematch soon. Chino had no jab, no defense when he fought Alexander. Look what Matthysse did to Alexander and he got robbed plus many here agree Maidana is slightly better than Lucas cuz he can box better now. Maiden is a smart pressure fighter he might be slow as he's always been, but he beat Broner and got 2 matches with Mayweather for a reason.

You need proof? :patsch First time it was cutoff dates. Next time Bob flew to phils for Manny to sign a contract but he quack quacked, quack quakced. Cut wouldn't heal. Need an outdoor stadium. Changing dates. Not enough time to promote. FACT! Oh, the selective memory of *******s!

You guys are hiding behind a coward who talks but never walks the walk. Say what you will of Floyd but he HAS tried to make this fight 2X!

    Crickets indeed.

He called him out in 2009 and 2012. Pacquiao refused both offers.
