I would say the same to you but please don't log off. You have over 9000 posts, if you were to log off and not come back on what would you do with your time? I guess you right hand would be worked hard several times a day.

Was watching some footage of pac and some footage of floyd and realized that Pacuiquiao's only and best chance of winning is forcing floyd to the ropes (a la ODLH/Maidana 1)

I've always personally felt like the type of guy who can beat floyd isn't a high volume guy. It's someone with speed, boxing technique and that can properly place their punches without over risking (making themselves available for the counter)

Pacman isn't that boxer who places his punches but what can put him in a position to be that guy vs floyd is if he is fighting on the ropes. In the center of the ring pac is pretty much a high volume guy that fights very risky but on the ropes he's 100 x more dangerous. He tees off on you and is incredibly accurate and against the ropes it's pretty difficult to counter as you can't make your opponent miss as well.

In floyds case vs pacquiao, Floyd would sit in his shell on the ropes and pac would pick him apart. Pac throws too many punches while oyur pinned up against the ropes to dodge them all and they are all mostly pretty accurate as opposed to maidana or ODLH who would just throw and hope for a home run.

I guess this really breaks down to can manny push floyd back? Pacman would either have to make floyd miss a lot or have no respect for his power. It was easier for Maidana and ODLH to push floyd back because theyre naturally bigger. Maybe one day we will see

Pacquiao's hand speed use of angles and southpaw stance would be too much for duckweather jr.Pacquiao is the winner.

I was just thinking of how people say Pacquiao beat Hatton after Hatton was beat up by Mayweather first but they also fail to mention that Hatton also had supposedly the best trainer in the world according to Mayweather Jr himself Mayweather Sr and that will be the difference but yet Pac knocked him silly that even Hatton had thoughts of commuting suicide after that fight.

What some people fail to see, is that Floyd can use his strengths to win a fight too.. What I keep seeing is people say what Pac will do and Floyd won't do anything in return.. Pac will punch him from all angles, land the left at will, walk Floyd down....ect and Floyd will just watch himself get blown out without even trying...

To answer your question though, the guys who forced Floyd on the ropes and kept him there were guys who weighed way more than him.. I don't see a shorter, less physically weaker, and </= weight type guy keeping him in the ropes.. If Floyd end up there and don't win that battle or at least feel he's doing work, he won't do it the whole fight like people say will happen.. Floyd knows how to win and how to adjust.. If he feels what he's doing isn't working, he'll do something else.. Some guys think he'll just sit there and take a beating without even trying fit the first time in his life...

I agree with the second bit of what your saying. That's just my personal opinion. I think pac would have to respect Floyd's power so he wouldn't get floysd against the ropes as often as maidana or odlh but we can't know until we see the fight.

But regarding your first bit I just didn't speak about what Floyd can do to pacquiao. Pac has little to no chance against Floyd in the center of the ring. Floyd will make it super boring. Run around in circles, lunge in with lead rights and clinch pac like the 2nd maidana fight. PAC is masterful against dudes who stand in front of him but against dudes who get in and get out he's not as destructive against. Floyd is one of the best (Bhop being the other) at fighting at a distance and clinching up or getting out. That's a good way to give pac some trouble.

Even in the center of the ring, Pac's explosiveness and angles will be the difference. Pac is getting underrated there.

Pac is a tremendous counterpuncher, and you will all see that when and if Mayweather signs the fight.

I was imagining Floyd in Algieri's shoes. Algieiri is not even remotely as skilled as Mayweather. Pacquiao's cutting off the ring has improved but still needs work and its going to be harder to do that against Floyd. It will be in his (Pacquiao) favour as you said once he pins him on the ropes but it would be a challenge in itself. Still for rooting for Manny.

"I’m gonna be truly honest with you, I didn’t even see the fight, I never did. I heard that he got knocked down six times, something like that, nine times somebody said, five times. I don’t really know how many times he got knocked down,"

"I ain’t saying he’s [any] better [now] because he knocked down some nobody. Floyd knocked Diego Corrales about six times and Diego Corrales was a good fighter. Floyd knocked him down about six times. It’s only obvious that if they fight, I’m on my sons side so there’s no other way to look at that but one way. I wouldn’t be looking his way just to be looking, but whatever my son said about it, I don’t believe Pacquiao can whoop him anyways, simple as that," Mayweather Sr. said.
