You don't turn down $110 million dollars offered to you if you're not scared, especially when your moniker, is "money."

There is no other fight that will bring anywhere NEAR $110 million dollars for Floyd. Floyd would have to fight 4 times to accumulate that much money.

And even then, Showtime is not going to pay him unless he fights a guy that generates views.

Floyd can't get away with fighting guys nobody has ever heard of. Thurman is a good fighter and may be the future, but he's certainly not the present. Nobody outside of hardcore boxing fans has any idea who Keith Thurman is.

Garcia is just not going to generate the money Showtime wants. Is he acceptable, perhaps, but I doubt Showtime would take that risk.

Khan has some potential, but the success of that PPV would be fully dependent upon the buyers in the UK. Would Showtime take that risk?

    I wouldn't.

So, who does that leave? GGG?

GGG would sell, but the beating suffered at the hands of GGG would be far worse than what Pacquaio is going to do, so why would Floyd take this fight?

    He wouldn't.

Other than that, perhaps a rematch with Cotto or Canelo. Either way, you see, Floyd has limited options.

And the last time he fought Cotto he took enough of a beating that he contemplated retiring from the sport.

If Floyd doesn't fight Pacquaio this time, it's pathetic. That's all I have to say. It's not pathetic because Floyd is scared for his health.

It's pathetic because Floyd disrespects Pacquaio, but won't fight him.

    That's cowardly.

This. Anyone who is not on floyd's nuts knows that he has a history of avoiding risky opponents that could threaten his zero.

The pacquiao side can't do much when they know that mayweather is ducking the fight at all costs. If mayweather cared abut his legacy he would of made the fight happen years ago to prove he was the best in the division.

    Uh, what?

Floyd has said the fight won't happen as long as Pac is w/ Arum, but he had no problem offering 40 million over the phone? Obviously it was a BS attempt to make it seem like he chased the fight.

Floyd has said for 3 years now that Pac is looking for a pay day, which is a clear-as-day admission that Pac wants the fight to happen and he doesn't.

You don't negotiate a contract in public. The fact that Mayweather's team isn't talking gives me hope that something may actually happen. Arum has publicly talked about building stadiums in parking lots and other ridiculous conditions before so I take his public announcements worth a grain of salt.

Where you been? Sam Watson has come out and said that Floyd is licking his chops to get in the ring with Pac (lol) and that there will be not one, but TWO fights.

His reason is greed or being afraid, period. Either way it is pathetic.

and who is Sam Watson? He is just a lackey for Haymon. It seems like everyone has something to say except for the people that have real authority, Arum being excepted. When Haymon says something, you let me know.

Haymon never says anything and that is the problem.

I think a large part of the problem is that Arum publicly says too much but that is just my opinion.

    Here's my take:

If he fights Pacquiao at ANY point in 2015, then to me, he was never afraid. I'd suspect he was "saving" Pacquiao and exhausting all of his resources before cashing out with Pac. A reason Floyd and Pac sell so well is the hope that they'll fight each other. If he fights him in 2015, IMO, he has indeed been ducking but for business reasons.

If he doesn't fight Pacquiao without a damn good reason, then he's a coward.

Also, IMO, the whole "he's afraid of [insert name]" is an excellent selling point. Because then people believe he's in a high risk fight.

None of the negotiations need to be made public, if it is, it's for their image.
