In other words, by the logic of some, Floyd should fight Garcia because he beat Khan (like Floyd should fight Khan because he beat Maidana).

And I don't defend Floyd's every move. He's said and done some stupid ****, but his haters also say some stupid ****.

    I'm not a fanboy.

Oh and you said Garcia lost to Herrera or had a ****ty match. Well Khan had a ****ty match with Diaz. Maidana was a better opponent in 2014, now Khan is. And Floyd should've only fought Maidana once.

That's another stupid move by Floyd, the poll. I always felt Maidana was better because of his recent accomplishments as opposed to Khan's. And no, I am not turning that opinion into the majority. I specified, his "haters".

I see the difference. Dude, you're talking to me like I want him to fight Garcia over Khan. Wtf?

I know it's another of a million threads on these 2 but when you break it down,a zero aside it is obvious pac has achieved more and done it from miraculous circumstances.
Floyd was born into a family of boxers in a pretty well off back ground.was taught by world champion boxers from the age of about 4 how to box,had all the right channels into boxing and a name to go off.
Pac was living in a tree house helping raise a family and fighting hunger and poverty all of his childhood.he had to leave home and fight through thousands of wannabes after a way out of poverty.
He turned pro at 16 beating grown men.and did so with poor training methods.
He has never ducked one challenge on his rise through 8 divisions.hes lost a couple agreed, but so what, doesn't the way he went back to the drawing board and come back make him greater ?
The only fighter of note he hasn't faced going through them 8 divisions is the one man that won't face him,yet people still crown floyd p4p number 1 and line his pockets with millions even tho he uses excuse after excuse to not fight his main rival.
Marquez problems, unfounded drug use allegations, retirement and ppv number being amongst his excuses.
When all is said and done there is no reason why pac shouldn't be top 10 atg of all time, his achievements warrant it only nostalgia of other fighters prevents it being commonly thought, mayweathers lack of testing himself against the best and who people want him to fight has got to go against him and unless he does something spectacular in his next few fights he can never be held in anywhere near the same regard

How can you state that then ignore the fact that Prime Margarito was 6 months where was consider a top fighter, Cotto said out his own mouth that neither him, his trainer, or promoter Bob Arum really wanted a Mayweather fight.

Or Pacquiao's trainer saying it's their fault it didn't happen in Pacquiao's prime?

Between the three I'll agree that Pac & Cotto earlier would mean something, Tony though wouldn't seeing as he lost to every elite fighter he faced is nowhere near HOF or even a top 10 WW since 2000'.

Manny has the better overall names, Floyd has better names at there best.
Both have same amount of Lineal Titles, Manny has more division Champs, Floyd has beaten more Champs overall.

I think Mayweather has the better resume when you look at the names where they were in there careers. But ultimately I feel it comes down to Floyd's 0 & Manny being the "small guy" moving up.

Even if you don't 100% agree neither choice is completely wrong.

    I agree.

No company like Showtime is going to give a fighter the kind money they've given Floyd without having some say in who he fights. That much is certain.

Exactly, it's one thing to be understanding and maybe even sympathetic to why a boxer would cherry pick but it's a whole other thing to actually encourage it.

I see Showtime forcing Floyd to fight Khan or Manny, Floyd losing, and retiring a very bitter man.

No way would he have fought Canelo if he wasn't tied up in a deal. No way.
