Mayweather is clearly in the argument. Ali of course was the greatest, Sugar Ray Robinson was pound for pound best, whilst Money Mayweather TBE is The Best Ever. Its pretty clear that Mayweather has called Bob Arum bluff as Arum is scared of Pacquiao taking another loss.

Why are they weird? It wasn't the whole fight either, I showed him highlights from Canelo-Mayweather. I told him like no one can hit Mayweather. Anyways they didn't say exactly what I said but somewhere along the lines to that, and they've been watching fights on and off since. A lot of them were disappointed in the Maidana fight because of the holding(some of these newbies thought Maidana actually won ) but I explained to them that Maidana is an extremely dirty fighter, and Mayweahter was forced to hold. Also that Mayweather landed the way cleaner shots.

People need to stop being fanboys and be fans of boxing. A fine boxer in his own weight classes but moving up to WW and beyond has brought a lot of justifiable criticism. Fighters like the fab 4, Ali, Sugar Ray etc will always be more loved for all the risks they took. They all fought well outside their comfort zone and were willing to weather the storm to prove their superiority. The fact that he hasn't still fought the next best boxer and fellow all-time great Pac will be a permanent blemish on his record. The same obviously will be on Pac but the more excuses seem to be emanating from Team Mayweather than from Pacs Teams.

Who wins I couldn't give a ****, as long as the fight happens. How much they make I couldn't give a **** as both are filthy rich as long as the fight happens.

Mayweather gets a lot of negativity on most boxing forums, but those who actually saw him fight in his true prime know how great this guy was.

His absolute peak was between 2001-2005 when he was campaigning between 130-140 lbs. in those weight classes, Floyd was truly one of the special ones in the history of the sport. People forget he fought in a completely different manner at the lighter weights and that his combination punching and overall punch volume started to diminish after he ventured into his 4th weight class.

As far as offense, defense and ring generalship goes, you can make a strong case for him being one of the top 5 most skillful and complete fighters in the history of the sport. He's arguably the greatest SFW ever, leaving that division in his mid 20's after tallying a record of 27-0 with 20 KO's. I'd put him right alongside such incredible talents as Ray Robinson, Benny Leonard, Pernell Whitaker, Joe Gans , Muhammad Ali and Ray leonard. Imo these are the men who were the most skillful boxers in the history of the sport.

With a lot of boxers nowadays and Floyd and Pac both pick the right types of fights at the right time. The biggest challenge for both in the past 4-5 years have been fighting themselves. It's no surprise that the two best boxers have mysteriously avoided each other for so damn long. Whats even funnier is that they would make more money fighting each other once, than taking 2-3 fights from other opponents.

I respectfully disagree. I think Floyd is a much more complete fighter than rigo especially if you compare rigo to a prime mayweather.

Rigo doesn't close the show on his opponents in the same manner that Mayweather used to in the lighter weights. Floyd connects at a higher rate than rigo, and while Guillermo has sublime defense, Floyd also has a lower rate of getting hit compared to the great Cuban boxer.

Rigo was a great amateur, but he still has lots to prove as a professional. I've seen the guy rocked several times already in his neophyte career, I'm still waiting to see Floyd get rocked after almost 20 years in the professional game. Completely different styles and also a completely different body of work. Guillermo has a LOT of work to do before he can be mentioned in the same sentence with someone of floyds stature.

Have you been in Vegas when Floyd fights. you can not move for mexicans, its bigger than who watches on tv or goes to the fight. It is an event all by itself even outside on the strip. floyd fights May and september. has done for quite some time now. floyd is number 1 =gets to call the shots and guess what? he's earned the right to do so, like it or not.
