As far as Floyd goes, look, I know the undefeated record is important to his legacy and I understand that, but maybe at this point of his career, that window that I talked about that these athletes have and obviously fighters have that starts to close, he's aware of that too. And he's starting to wind down. He's getting to that place where he's gotta shut it down at some point. And you understand that and your body tells you that and the clock tells you. When you think about his legacy, besides the undefeated part of it, you wonder the train of thought also of how is he gonna be remembered and his place in history if he doesn't finish with that career fight.

The reason we still talk about Ali is because Ali had Frazier and he had Foreman. You know, Floyd hasn't really had either one of those types of guys; that career defining partner fight. That fight that is very important for you to have because not only does it take you to another level, but your name is forever synonymous to that fighter that served as your opponent or rival or whatever you want to call it. He hasn't had that. He hasn't had that person in his career and in his life, and Pacquiao would give him that, even if it is, I think, 5, 6 to 7 years too late to see the best of the two. But still, that would give him that name; that would give him that fight for that part of his legacy if that's important to him. It would also add a few zeros to his bank account.

I know he's got a good amount of zeros to that account, but it wouldn't hurt to add some more zeros and he can do it in other ways too with other fighters, with less prominent fighters with less prominent names, but he can do it a lot faster with somebody named Pacquiao. I wonder how much that interests him and possibly entices him into thinking like that.

    Yes.

    Let's use common sense.

Did Floyd promise Margarito a fight to his face lookin all scared like a lil bltch???

    Yes.

Did Floyd fight Margarito, even after Margarito smashed Cotto into smithereens?

    No.

How is that not a duck?

Some of ya'll must be morons.
    Use your brain.

He's at the point of fighting Pac in so many levels and reasons. First, and most importantly to him, is that it would take him three to four fights to make what he could with one Pac fight. And the odds of him losing after fighting three to four at this stage would be the same as fighting Pac now. Second is that later he may not be able to beat Pac. Third, this "both free" opportunity may not exist again. Fourth, Pac is talking about going to 140 etc. I'm sure there is more reasons...fight needs to happen now.

Like that time when he paid Maidana 1.5 MILLION to wear gloves based on the fact that Maidana refused to disclose the mysterious HUGE bonus added to his contract after the loss in a fight that Showtime lost money on!!!

Now this time, he's willing to YET again PAY THAT MONEY!!! to Cotto cuz he's so ascared of fightin Pacquiao.

Canelo can only counter so much because Floyd can willingly give up some of his income out of FEAR in order to make the fight with Cotto.

    This shlt is ELEMENTARY!!!

People on this forum are imbeciles if they can't see this.

    Floyd's mind is like ABC.

    Just fight Pac, damn!!!

Whatever Cotto might have been offered probably isn't even 1/4 of what Pacquiao's been offered, only difference is Cotto would say yes.

Cotto would only say yes if it was substantially more than what Canelo offered him.

And since Floyd is not known for paying his opponents that much, Floyd would have to give up some of HIS own money to fight Cotto.

And that my friend is an ALL TIME BlTCH MOVE!!!!

I have no interest in Floyd vs Cotto 2, but it is still better than Pac vs Rios, Pac vs Algeiri, Danny Garcia vs Salka, Broner vs another weak opponent

You're pretending your speculation is fact. The money offer to Cotto has already been debunked by someone in Cotto's camp. And Michael Koncz confirmed back and forth offers between Top Rank and TMT.
