lol, people don't even wanna get their hopes up for this fight anymore, sadly, I can perfectly understand. Really though, there is no more legitimate excuse other than the split for this fight, and that makes me really hopeful.

Well the networks might be a stumbling block but I have a feeling HBO are holding off on signing the Cotto Canelo fight because they are trying to get in on the Floyd-Pac action and that's part of why Cotton Canelo hasn't been finalized yet.

I would think they could work out some sort of split joint expense deal and then reap split profits.

Yes they could and should but sometimes it's easier said than done. Let's just hope the fight gets made

Paulie is starting to get a little bit annoying these days. Why is he bitter about the top guns...we know for sure that he is guilty of wearing pillows when he is in the ring.

Sure but what do you call a fight where its for a 154 title but you can't weigh more than 147.

I wasn't trying to "balance it out" because I actually didn't have an agenda posting that. If I tried to "balance it out" then I'd have an agenda. It doesn't need to be "balanced," it just is what it is... Just making a contribution to the thread with stats from a thread I recently made myself regarding the best active fighters' records in lineal title fights.

I would call that a Welterweight fight with some usual predictable sanctioning body shenanigans.

You can't count the hall of famers twice because he had rematches with them dumbass. BTW, Pac fought Marquez 3 times, not twice. Finally, Bradley ain't a lock for the hall of fame.

So, taking away all the spin, it looks like 7 to 7.

Was Chicanito lineal at 130lbs? I thought lineage had been established when Mayweather defeated Corrales?

Paulie is only speaking the truth here.

All elite athletes are on PED's and have been for decades.

If I had an almighty higher power holding a gun to my head and asking if I thought Paulie had ever taken PED's, I would resoundingly say "yes."
