Why would I take offense? Floyd is rightfully criticized in most cases, especially hitting women. You never hear me defending that **** so you throw that "you're a fanboy" **** where it belongs, in the garbage. But to say Vegas protects him? You guys make it sound like he only won because of the ref or judges. When he gets a gift decision then I'll agree. I felt he won the Maidana fight 116-112, same score I had in the rematch. I also had him up 115-113 against Castillo but could see it 115-113 Castillo. Since I felt that fight could go either way, I don't believe it was a robbery.

I disagree on the Cortez mess and I believe Cortez is just incompetent. Bayless was clearly biased but that doesn't mean Floyd has Vegas in his pockets.

 

If these accusations were coming from people who have proven to not be biased in the past, their opinions would be more respected. But this is coming from people who bash Floyd on a consistent basis, like they're paid for it. :think

 

It's all on the networks now. Once HBO/Showtime work out their split/marketshare, Heymon will tell Money to sign and it's on......

 

If they had some logical ideas to back up their theories it would help a lot. But using the argument of "these 2 fights had shady refereeing so all Floyd's fights have shady refs," is beyond stupid.

In terms of quality? It still is good, although nowhere near what it would have in 2010/11. If you forget about their ages and slippage and what they were a few years back, they are still top fighters.

People have compared it to Lewis-Tyson and that is just a huge exaggeration. Tyson peaked FOURTEEN years before fighting Lewis. He was a shell of his former self.

If you forget about the disgrace of what happened with prior negotiations and just focused on the fight itself, Mayweather-Pacquiao is still one of the top matchups in the sport to be made.

 

like the above poster said if it is not announced at the super bowl then i will give up hope, at this point i think floyd enjoys the extra publicity he is getting by not announcing it. he is making himself look like the bad guy and building up hype, smart business decision.

Nah I think it finally comes together, because their other opponents aren't doing good numbers, and Showtime is probably forcing Floyd's hand.
