That's the thing though, Arum isnt hiding what he is doing. Infact its insulting to people's intelligence because of how obvious he makes it. All people have to do is think.

Arum is the only guy that i know in sports that can get away with excuses like needles, stadiums, disrespect to mexicans and not be called out on it by national media.

It's all about what you believe I guess.. I personally can't trust a person who goes to the media about everything.. If they agreed to everything and just have to iron out a few things, then don't run and tell the media because they'll spin it to sell mags or watch their video.. They don't care how true it is.. They get paid because everyone hates Floyd, so anything negative about him is blown up.. I don't know who is to blame because they go to the media and Floyd isn't saying much at all but they're still negotiating.. Maybe he feels Arum is still in the way.. I don't know.. I don't believe there's a contract signed though.. And I also thought Cotto is with Top Rank.. How can he negotiate with 2 Top Rank fighters, but the Cotto one is still a rumor.. Wouldn't Arum know about it?

 

It's not just arum. Independent sources are siting that it was mostly from pac's camp who has made efforts to make the fight. Then these independent sources sited floyd's camp wanting cotto. Then cotto-canelo was nixed and Floyd on cue is blaming arum once again.

If floyd has problem with arum in the first place, he should have said it earlier and not teased boxing fans of a possible pac fight only to fight cotto next.

 

Didn't Marquez challenge a "retired" Mayweather? How did Mayweather "drag" Marquez up two divisions? Moreover, Mayweather didn't force Marquez to fight at a higher weight, Marquez could have fought at any weight under 144. Mayweather coming off a two-year hiatus weighed 146 instead of 144, that really made a big difference in the fight. Marquez probably weighed about the same as Mayweather on fight night.

It's coming from Arum, stop kidding yourself. He's running around saying this and that when they have a non-disclosure agreement. Arum is being unprofessional.

 

Eh... Mayweather isn't prime either. So the logic applies both ways. Nobody ever seems to mention Floyd's prime.
