I think the most positive quote that Mayweather said was on Shades45.

"Do I want to fight Pacquiao? Absolutely! Are we negotiating? Absolutely! But has the fight been made? Not at all."


Everyone knows the fight isn't signed yet. So, that wasn't negative by saying not at all. It's the truth. The fight hasn't been made yet. HBO/Showtime still working out deal for PPV Split.

Interviewer asks about Canelo/Cotto on May 2nd...

"Hopefully it’s Mayweather-Pacquiao. Of course we’re trying to make the fight happen between me and Pacquiao."

Not Cotto?

"We’re going to make it happen, though."

Wow, yay. He's GOING to MAKE it happen with Pacquiao!? Seems positive it can get done.

He didn't say Arum can't be involved. He didn't say the fight isn't going to happen because of Top Rank. He didn't say it's impossible. He said negotiating has been difficult because of Arum. That doesn't mean the fight isn't going to happen. From his previous quotes, it seems it has been hard, but Floyd's still positive that it will be made.

He also talked about how Pacquiao isn't his own boss, and what not, but that was besides the point. He just wanted to go on a Pacquiao tangent. All other signs seem positive.

He could've had come out and said, "Arum is in the way. We can't work with him. We're not negotiating. I want it to happen, but it probably won't because of Arum."

Nope. He said he trying to get this done. He is negotiating. Arum's made it hard, but he's still positive and will make it happen.

 

I think you're afraid it might actually happen.

i agree but then again floyd also said manny pacquaio you are next and then when he was asked about it never even admitted he said it this is floyd who we are dealing with he is just trying to save face hopefully he signs and takes his beating

 

So what are you going to say when they fight and Floyd schools him for an easy victory?

 

Pacquiao will find early success against Floyd, first 3 or 4 rounds. It's the later rounds I'm curious about.
