And push up Mayweather in the same standard to show 'boxing has improved', have they wiped the crude Maidana giving him hell from their memories?

Truth is Mayweather would never have survived in those days, fighting 10-15 rounders every 3 weeks or so and never being able to stop your opponent, he would be gassed and lose to some rank average guys. Getting 6 months to prep for a certain guy and style, sure he can out box any guy in this era in his division.

If you watch championship fights and compare them to championship fights of past era's you can see clear as day that the SKILL level has dropped considerably.

It's pretty ironic because pretty much most if not all boxers/fighters learn from trainers/coaches that fought 1, 2, or even 3 generations before them. And then these pinheads want to say they know more than them? Skills weren't invented yesterday or perfected acouple yrs ago. Crude, one dimensional fighters exist today as they did back then. Slick, defensive masters existed WAY before Floyd and as did giant killers like Manny. And so what if a fighter is crude? It really matters how effective he really is, no style guarantees victory.
There's a reason why Robinson is considered the greatest of all time even today, 50+ yrs later and NOT Floyd Mayweather.

People need to realize that if they don't get it done for May, it's over. These guys will never sit in the same room again. They'll never try to make the fight again because they'll truly hate each other.

It will go down in boxing history as the biggest fight to never happen. The most epic duck of the century.

The fact that Canelo confirmed the Kirkland fight tells you HBO thinks the Floyd Pac fight is dead. Edit: Possibly they have a secondary date in mind but it certainly isn't a positive sign that Canelo said May 2nd.

If true, I'm done with it for good. I was certain it would happen now. We'll see.
